*Zayn POV*
"Do you want orange juice or cranberry juice?"
"Anything will do" I sighed. We were at the recording studio since the morning, and it was almost past noon now. I love recording songs and being with the lads, but I really wanted to go home. I had to get up early, and I'm not an early riser.
We were having a break of half an hour, so the boys were just messing around. They noticed that I was grumpy and didn't mess with me, but I can't help it. I didn't know myself why I was in this mood.
I got up and went out to the window, and looked below. There were a couple of fans outside, they must've found out our whereabouts. Someone caught a glimpse of me and shrieked. This caused everyone to look up and they saw me.
"Zayn!" "Look here!" "ZAYN" "Where are the other boys?!" "Are you recording for the new album?" "I love you Zayn!" "Oh my god it's really you, I'm seeing you!" "How are you doing Zayn?"
Some of them were unable to say anything. Some of them were crying. It is still really overwhelming to see what the fans do for us, they go any lengths to see us, to make us happy. Some of them can be rude, but the majority of them support us a lot.
I waved back at them and smiled. Three years ago, I would've laughed at someone if they told me that people would be thronging to see me.
I spotted the back of a girl with long wavy brown hair, she was talking to a man with light brown hair. Could it be Lisa? What was she doing here? Should I go down and meet her?
The girl turned around and it wasn't her. I released a breath that I didn't even know I was holding. What's up with me these days?
"Zayn, what're you doing by the window?"
I turned to Harry and motioned him to come over to the window. As soon as he was there, a string of screams issued from below. They saw him too. We couldn't go down and meet them as the security won't let us, but we could wave at them from here. I wanted to do at least this much for them. The fans are the reason we are who we are, and if they wanted to see us then they surely could do so.
The rest of the boys huddled at the window, and we almost became temporarily deaf from the screams and shouts. My grumpy behaviour was totally wiped out after all this.
After the break was over, we headed back to the recording booth and finished our job. Singing is a part of me, that's what I love to do. I'm glad I could pursue my hobby as my career.
I drove back to my flat after like an hour, it was almost evening. The sun was setting, the city looked beautiful. I am a guy who loves to spend time with the nature once in a while, but living in London, that's next to impossible. There's always the city humdrum, even at midnight.
I was reminded of my last dream. I was with a girl. We were in a natural surrounding, there was a small stream, small bushes with pretty little flowers. The place was beautiful, something where I always wanted to live. She was giggling while I splashed her with water from the stream. We were in the middle of a water fight when she suddenly kissed me, and that's when I woke up with a jolt back to reality.
Somehow, I found myself picturing the girl as Lisa. She had long brown hair, just like the girl in my dream. Her smile was contagious. The way her eyes sparkled when she was happy was really adorable. It pained me that nobody saw the sadness and behind her eyes the other day, I was the only one who noticed. I wish I could relieve her of the thing that troubles her, and makes her lose the shine in her eyes.
As usual, I caught myself thinking about her. I do it most of the times these days. I guess I like her. But I can't fall for her. She won't like me back, and that will leave me heart broken. I will do all it takes to never let anyone know that I like her. But I wonder how longer can I go without making anyone suspicious of my feelings? It's certainly not easy to hide that you've a crush on someone.
