Chapter - 22

They reached the Malhotra Mansion where Navya, Mukti &
Aliya welcomed Nandini with all the rituals. And finally
nandini entered the house after dipping her feet in a red
liquid. They all settled down in the living room & then navya
said,
Navya: now, manik will feed nandini with his own hands...
Cabir: why??
Navya: nandini is on a fast today.... She hasn't had anything
since 4 am.
Cabir: ohh really?? Wow....
Cabir thought for a second & then said,
Cabir: manik..... is that the reason why u weren't eating
anything..... Satish told me that u didn't even have ur lunch
& neither did u had anything during the ceremonies.
Nandini turned towards manik in shock...
Manik: areey nhi yr... why will I do so?? I had had something
in the evening.
Cabir: ohk then... swear on nandini...
Manik rubbed his hand in his hair & looked here n there &
then said,
Manik: who actually..... i.... Ohk fine, yes I too was on the
fast.....
Nandini: Manik hv u lost it, who told u to do so??
Manik just gave her a small smile. After that navya got a
plate full with food for the two. Both nandini & manik fed
each other, while the others too had their dinner. After the
dinner the servant came to manik n said,
Servant: Sir, someone came in the evening & gave this gift.
Manik: ohk thanks..
Manik saw a big box kept in front. He picked it up n saw the
name slip,
"Best Wishes, For MRS. NANDINI MANIK MALHOTRA". All
of them smiled at it as manik passed the gift to nandini.
Nandini opened the box & found 5 different boxes within it.
She picked up the first one & opened it, it had a beautiful
diamond chain. The second box too had another chain, but
this one was the one worn by men, probably for manik. It
had a small piece of paper kept within it, saying,
"when manik was born, his grand parents were very happy,
they had bought this for him & his would be wife."
Nandini turned towards manik & they all wondered who
could be the sender of that gift. Nandini then opened the 3rd
box & found an ancient style neckless in it. It surely looked
like a really expensive one. The 4th box had a beautiful
stylish diamond studded ring. And the last box had 2 gold
bangles, with another note.

"Dear Nandini,
These jewels were given to me by Manik's grand mother &
now I m giving it to u. I never respected these, n thus never
did I ever used them, but I knew u will. These are our
familes hallmark, I resquest u to pass it to the next heir at
the time of his marriage. With love n blessings,
From nyonika......"

Manik was shocked to know that the gift was from nyonika.
His face had a blank expression. Nandini turned towards
him & held his hand with a smile, & he immediately smiled
back at her.
Mukti: now before, manik kicks us out of his house, lets just
take nandini to her new room now.
Nandini blushes at it, as the girls took her to manik's room.
They got her settled at the centre of the bed & just then
heard the boys coming up. But as manik was about to enter,
the girls stopped him.
Navya: areey, so excited to get in.... that u forgot us...
Manik: now what girls???
Mukti: nothing much just a little bit of money.
Manik: ohk how much...
Aliya: jitna bhi tumhare pocket me h.... sab....
Manik agreed in a second n gave them the money they
wanted. With this they pushed him inside the room & he
locked it from within. He turned around n was surprised to
see the room beautifully decorated with red & white roses n
candles. And nandini sitting at the centre of the bed.
Manik: I don't know, wen did they all do this???
Nandini: ur friends love u a lot...
Manik: they r our friendzz.
Manik went closer to nandini & sat beside her. He used his
index fingure & raised nandini's chin to make an eye
contact. As he did so, nandini immediately hugged him
tightly n started weeping
Manik: what happened nandini??
Nandini hugged him tighter & said,
Nandini: thank u manik.... Thank u very much...
Manik: for what???
Nandini: You knew that I was close to my family & that's
why u prepared ur room in such a way so that I could feel
them around.
Nandini pointed to the photo which manik had just got
inserted on the wall along with other photographs. It was
her family's photograph.
Manik: It's not my room, its our's now.... Not only this
room, but every single thing which was mine is now urs....
Manik kissed her forehead & hugged her again. After
sometime they broke their hug & nandini kissed manik's
cheek. Manik slowly bent down kissing her on her shoulder
& then her entire face. Just then nandini's lips met manik's.
He kissed her slowly but soon Nandini turned the kiss into a
more passionate one. Slowly manik's hand traveled to her
back & he opened her house strings. It was all very new for
nandini & thus she shivered with pleasure. He could feel the
shiver in nandini's body as he did so. He took his hand
away from her back & continued kissing her, trying not to
make her feel uncomfortable. But a few moments later they
got out of breadth & broke the kiss. Nandini pushed him
slowly on the bed & opened up his sherwani. She kissed his
bare chest passionately. Manik smiled at it and soon pulled
the bed sheet over himself as well as nandini as by then
they both lay inside it wrapping into each other's arms, fully
naked. It was almost morning only, at around 3:45 am when
nandini slept resting her head on manik's chest.
As the bright sunlight entered their room manik & nandini's
peaceful sleep was disturbed. Both of them opened their
eyes & manik tightened his grip around nandini.
Nandini: Good Morng Manik...
Manik: Gud Mrng.... Mrs. Manik Malhotra...
Nandini smiled at the way manic addressed her. Manik
kissed her forehead & smiled at her.
Manik: I can't tell u... For how long I hv craved to get up in
the morning & see ur face before anything else...
Just then nandini realized that she wasn't wearing any
cloths. She blushed thinking about what happened the
previous night. She immediately picked up the bed sheet,
wrapped it around herself n ran into the washroom.
Manik: Areey nandini!!! Kya hua???
Manik asked as he saw her, suddenly getting up n running.
As she got into the washroom he realized the reason & a
smile appeared on his face. 15 mins later, he saw nandini
open the door & coming out just wearing a bath rod upto her
knees. Manik went closer towards her with a naughty smile
& said,
Manik: someone seems to be in a different sort of a mood
today....
Nandini pushed him away towards the washroom & said,
Nandini: Shut up Manik.... I wasn't having my cloths in
there.... Now just do & get ready fast its already 8 am.
Manik smiled at her & entered the washroom. After
sometime, as he came out he saw nandini sitting in front of
the mirror, wearing a beautiful blue coloured saree. As
manik came out nandini covered her eyes with his palm as
he was only wearing a towel round his waist & said,
Nandini: manik!!!! What is this??
Manik: what???? Now u r my wife & I can come like this in
front of u.... And moreover why r u feeling so shy, hv u
forgotten, last night even this wasn't there....
Nandini blushed at it n hid her face behind his cupboard's
door. She picked out cloths for him, kept them on the bed &
returned to the work she was doing. Manik wore his cloths,
as he saw nandini wearing her Mangalsutra. He went closer
towards her & applied the red powder on her hair line. Soon
both of them got ready n left the room at around 9:30 am.
As they got down, they saw all their frndzz comfortably
settled in the living area.
Manik: hello guys... gud mrng!! Aaj subah subah yahan??
Cabir: yes yes gud mrng... we all r here frm the past 1 n a
half hr but mukti was scared that if we distrub u both, then
u'll not leave us...
Manik gave him a blank smile & navya held nandini's hand
to take her in between the girls. All the girls hugged her
followed by the boys...
Manik: that's not fair guys.... I m also standing here n u all r
ignoring me...
Dhruv: now when our bhabhi is here, she is much higher
than u in our priority list..
Mukti: yes manik!! Dhruv's right... see, u hv always been
there to handle all of us, but in the last few yrs we hv
understood that only nandini can handle YOU, so 4 that its
better na if we keep her by our side from the beginning only.
Everyone else laughed at her comment after which all of
them had their breakfast together. While having the
breakfast aliya motioned cabir to memorise manik about the
day's surprise party's preparations indirectly. So cabir said,
Cabir: manik... tujhe yaad h na aaj date kya h??
Manik: hmn.. 15th feb, why??
Cabir: U hv to check that vedio,U remember which v all
decided.... I hv prepared the final one last night...
Manik: ohh yes yes... I'll check it just after this. But I m sure
u would hv made it awesome.
Soon after the breakfast Manik, Cabir & Dhurv went into
manik's room. Manik saw the vedio n liked it a lot. He
hugged both of them n thanked them for it. Soon they all
left the place, telling him that the party starts at 1 pm & he
has to reach there with nandini by 1:30.
As soon as every1 left nandini entered their room & started
unpacking her bags & placed all her cloths into the
cupboard. Manik was staring at her, thinking about how
should he convince her to go to the party without breaking
the surprise.
Manik: nandini!! Chalo get ready...
Nandini: ready?? For what???
Manik: areey I m telling u na get ready, we r going out for
lunch.
Nandini: manik at least tell me where???
Manik: ohh god... wait...
He got up n took out the dress which aliya had selected for
this party & asked nandini to wear it.
Nandini: manik this???? It's a party dress....
Manik: do u trust me???
Nandini: more than I trust myself...
Manik: Then just get ready fast, u'll get to knw everything
soon.
Nandini simply smiled at him & went to get ready. The party
started with all the big known personalities & the press
everyone present there. As they felt that everyone had
come, aliya said
Aliya: cabir... where r they??
Cabir: relax aliya, Manik had just msged me they r just
getting out of the house, they'll be here soon.
Mukti: ohk, so we'll start as soon as they arrive.
Dhruv: no, we will hv to start before that... we hv to tell the
media everything politely before they see nandini, otherwise
ppl can take out rude comments in tommorow's newspaper.
Cabir: I think dhruv's right lets start...
Meanwhile in the malhotra mansion, manik got ready in a
red black tukceedo & was looking damn handsome as
always. He waited for nandini & a few minutes later, he saw
her walking towards him, manik felt as if he was dreaming.
Nandini was looking not less than a princess in her red
gown. It was a long shining, backless gown, which she had
almost covered with her open hair. As she came near
manik, he was left dumbstuck... he just kept on staring at
her & smiling.
Manik: if u keep on looking so beautiful... How will I be able
to control myself.
Nandini blushed at it & the next minute they were ready in
the car. In the party, fab4 got onto the stage & started
Mukti: hello Ladies n gentlemen..... a very Gud Afternoon to
u all...
Cabir: we all welcome u here & thank u all for taking out
time from ur busy schedules & coming her..
Dhruv: so first of all, we would like to apologize from the
media & our fans for our different behavoir during the last
month.
Aliya: we know, many r hving complaints against us for
doing so, but sorry we can't answer ur questions??... This
party as every1 said is to interact with our fans, but I m
sorry to tell u that its not.... This party is just to involve our
fans in our happiness, & tell them about what all was going
on in the last entire month.
Cabir: why was manik hiding??? Why wasn't FAB5 doing
any shows??? Why did they all move to London suddenly???
And many more....
Dhruv: we r very happy to tell u all that yesterday was a very
special day of manik's life..... And we want all our fans to
join us in this happy moment of ours...
Just then cabir got a msg frm manik that they both had
arrived. He whispered the same in Mukti's ears n left to get
manik & nandini.
Mukti: so friends its finally time to break the suspense.... So
here we welcome the reason for today's celebration.... Ur
favorite, the Manik Malhotra and with him we introduce u to
Dr. Mrs. Nandini Manik Malhotra....
