Chapter 6
Jocelyn Pov
"I don't need any consoling." Jocelyn said looking up at the knock on her door. The knocking abruptly stopped before a voice spoke up in replace.
"Hey can I come in?" the voice, a girl asked and Jocelyn sighed stopping to fiddle around with her phone. These people were all martial arts expert agents anyway. What was the point of saying no? They could just break down the door.
"Sure," she said so quietly she was unsure it would actually reach the girls ears, yet apparently it did cause a moment later the door opened. Standing in the frame was a tall girl, with brown hair smiling uncertainly. Walking forward she sat on the edge of Jocelyn’s bed, as if nervous that it she was making her self to at home.
"I'm Sam."
"I'm Jocelyn, but," Jocelyn glanced up at the girl. "You already knew that." Apparently Sam didn't have a lot to say to that cause she looked away.
"What you tell your family."
"I could tell them anything. Wouldn't make a difference."
"What you tell your friends?"
"I got let out early." Sam snorted at this and even Jocelyn couldn't help crack a smile.
"How long have you guys lived here?"
"Since forever," A flicker of sadness crossed Sam's face but was gone in an instant.
"Are you the oldest?" Jocelyn asked and Sam laughed shaking he head.
"I may look old but no out of us here Seth is." Right, Seth. Jocelyn looked away at he mention of his name, something that Sam didn't fail to notice.
"He takes some getting used to."
"Yeah? Seems to me he could use someone." Jocelyn said with a roll of her eyes. However when the met Sam's she was staring at her with a look she couldn't place.
"You hungry? It's around eight." As if on cue Jocelyn's stomach let out a low rumble and she smiled sheepishly.
"I could just grab something from the kitchen." Sam smiled and muttered something but Jocelyn couldn’t catch. Though when she was about to ask Sam stood up and walked into the hall. Jocelyn just sat there for a moment before Sam poked her head back around the doorframe.
"Yo, you coming or what?"
Sam Pov
This was just too weird. For about the fifth time I glanced at Jocelyn walking beside me. Almost as if she has never left, even if she didn't like it here she looked at home. Padding barefoot down the carpeted hall in sweatpants and a t-shirt, her hair thrown up into a messy bun. She knew Lauren had been trying to get her out of that damn room all week. None of them had been able to focus in practice, especially Seth. Or maybe that was a lie, he was putting all his bottled up anger into working out. Almost all day everyday.
"So um this is okay right?" Jocelyn asked nervously from beside Sam. "Just going to get food?"
"Are you kidding me?" Sam let out a loud laugh that rang off the walls beside them. "Jay does it all the time."
"Right." there was a long pause. "So where exactly is everyone?"
"Probably in the dining room, we usually eat about now."
"Oh, well you can go hang with them if you want," Jocelyn said looking at Sam.
"Do you wanna meet them?"
