Joce Pov

The music was pumping so loud that as soon as her heeled foot set place on the pavement she could feel the tremors.  To say parties weren't exactly her thing was putting it lightly. Liana practically had to handcuff her to the car to get her to go anywhere. If that girl could see her now she'd have thought she'd died and gone to heaven. In a tight baby blue dress and black heels, her hair hung in long beach waves framing her face. Yup, so not typical, so totally Liana's death. Still as the group of them made there way towards the porch where couples were already hanging over the railings, retching sounds issuing from their lolling heads, Jocelyn couldn't help but feel a tiny bit excited. Butterflies squirmed inside her stomach, as she continued up the steps in-between Sam and Becky. Both of who looked drop dead stunning. Despite the fact that Sam had been given the privilege from Becky to arrive in just jeans and a t-shirt.

"You pumped?" Becky's voice was hot on her ear and Jocelyn slightly nodded as she watched the girl reach for the handle. Pale hand clamping around it she wrenched open the door to reveal a world of teens, bodies grinding up against each other in the dimly lit room. A slight buzz was in the air mixing in with the toxic heat and the smell of alcohol. Knowing there was no way she could make it through the night without a companion Jocelyn quickly snatched for Sam's hand. Only to have it cut through clear clean air, looking up a moment too late to see her friend already disappearing into the mass of bodies. Luckily for her a second later a small warm hand had enclosed hers squeezing it gently. Lauren was smiling kindly at her, even though Jocelyn could sense she was nervous. Her eyes kept darting around anxiously, and her free hand kept tugging at the dip of her shirt. As if doing it frequently enough would change how steep it went. Like Jocelyn she had been bestowed with Becky's closet.

"Come on," she said lightly tugging Jocelyn's hand so that together there dispersed into the crowd. Almost immediately Jocelyn felt bodies close in around her, giving the whole scenario an almost claustrophobic feel. She could feel the alcohol like fire on her neck every time a guy leaned in close enough, before she had squirmed away. Feeling Lauren's grasp slip from her own Jocelyn tried desperately to hold on, only to have her friends fingers slip clumsily through hers.  Above a couple heads, mere feet away, Jocelyn spotted Chloe’s blonde head. However brief before it was blocked off by another. Not wanting to stick around amongst the sweaty bodies, Jocelyn tried squirming her way towards the bar. Only while she was making her way through the crowd she felt a moist hand snatch at her bicep pulling her back from safety. Stumbling, her back hit a chest at the same time someone started sliding their hands down and across her waist. Trying to pull away she felt her heart rate kick into overdrive, the guy’s body grinding along hers. She did so not like where this was headed. So with one last fidget she elbowed the person in the stomach, vaguely hearing the predictable grunt as it came into contact. Taking her chance she pulled roughly away, not looking back once.

The fact that Jocelyn couldn’t seem to find Becky was a problem. The fact that Jocelyn couldn’t seem to spot anyone was an even bigger one. And she had been looking, for the past hour. Well she sat on a stool by the bar, sipping on something (not willing to admit she didn’t know quite what), her eyes scanning the mass. The unknown drink seemed to be calming her nerves from before. Which until the bar tender practically shoved the liquid down her throat, had been rather bad. Fumbling with her hands, body shifting constantly. It was as though she was a toddler who had to pee, but didn’t know the location of the toilet. So when she felt the tap on her shoulder she twirled around a tad clumsily, a cheeky grin etched onto her face. Only to have her mouth slack open as she realized who stood before her. Adam. Her Adam. Jocelyn blinked. Then blinked again taking in everything for his blonde hair to his devilish eyes, and the cute surprised smile that twirked at his lips.

“Jocelyn?”

“Hi Adam,” she giggled taking another gulp of her drink. She watched his eyes flash to it and then to her face.

“What’re you doing here?”

“What’re you doing here?” she laughed poking him in the chest, while stepping closer. Somewhere deep in the back of her mind she knew what she was doing wasn’t probably the smartest. And yes she was a little tipsy. But closer to the surface she realized she only wanted one thing at the moment. And that was to live it up.

“Where’ve you been, everyone’s been-“ Taking a huge step so her body was pressed directly against his Jocelyn set down her drink in one fluid motion. Raising her arms around his neck she arched her feet to whisper in his ear.

“Shhhh, come on, let’s dance.” Her voice sounded different as it echoed off her own ears, more mature. Seductive, and she felt her lips curve as his body stiffened. Yet he didn’t protest when she dragged him into the midst of everything she had tried to escape. Or when her arms draped his shoulders once again, her body pressed tightly against him. Not even when the music was pumping so loudly around them and their faces were so close that Jocelyn couldn’t help but brush her lips, ever so lightly, against his. No, in fact he responded by grabbing her hips and pulling her closer. Deepening the kiss as he hungrily moved his hands to slide under her shirt. Despite everything Jocelyn frowned slightly, kissing him back all the same. Loving the way her whole body felt heated at his touch. And then just as his hand was about to slip under her bra, someone jerked her back. So roughly that she was ripped away from Adam and would’ve fallen if someone hadn’t cupped her elbows, steadying her. Confused Jocelyn glanced up to see Seth, his jaw clenched as he stared at Adam. Who was staring at her, as if he had never wanted anything like he wanted her. Which had been what she’d wanted, always, for him to want her like she wanted him. Yet now as his eyes greedily raked her she felt uneasy. As if her whole electrified body had gone cold. Surprising herself she leaned uncertainly back against Seth, thankful of his hard body, his arms keeping her up. For she felt if he didn’t she might’ve fallen right there and drowned in her own mess.

“Come on, we’re leaving.” Seth’s voice was ice, and Jocelyn outwardly winced. Something Adam noticed because he smirked. His lips curling upwards into a face Jocelyn found horrified her. A look she didn’t know he possessed.

“But she was having so much fun, really I can handle it.” She watched almost as if in slow motion as Adam’s hand reached out to take her, not for a second did she mirror his movement.

“Thanks but she’s with me.” At Seth’s statement Adam’s eyebrows shot up disappearing under his bangs for a millisecond before they retracted back down. Pulling together as his eyes narrowed.

“Really. Cause last time I checked she was grinding on me, so why don’t we just assume she knows who she wants.” Again his hand was outstretched, and reached so far it barely grazed her arm. Instead Jocelyn coiled back so slightly against Seth. A movement she knew he caught by the way his hands tightened around her.

“I said she’s with me,” he growled and Jocelyn felt the hairs on her neck prickle. Adam however didn’t notice or didn’t care. Either way the next moment happened in such a blur Jocelyn wasn’t exactly sure how she ended up on the ground. Or why her whole face felt as though it was on fire, all she knew was that Seth’s body went flying by hers, the sound of knuckles digging into flesh.
