"I think the world stopped turning when we met"

Part Three: Sneaking Out & Trust

Flynn rubbed his window with his hand to make the fogginess go away. It was ever so lightly sprinkling drops of rain.

He saw a bright light in the distance.

Flynn looked back at Flora, resting peacefully in her bed. He opened the window quietly and hoped out. Walking towards the light, Flynn got nervous.

The light got dimmer and dimmer as he got closer. Until it was finally out.

There stood a girl.

"J?" Flynn asked startled. "What are you doing here?"

Josie turned her flashlight back on, pointing it toward her hand. "I forgot to give back your jacket" she whispered shyly.

"But dose that mean you can just come to my house in noting but a sweatshirt and shorts in the rain?!No, come on" Flynn grabbed Josie's hand and put the jacket over them.

They ran under the house porch. Flynn sat down in a rocking chair and put his jacket in his lap. Josie sitting in the other chair next to him.

"Now, why are you really here?" Flynn asked.

"I'm sorry, I just needed to give it to you. I would've given it to you later but, I felt bad" Josie shyly said looking into the road which was flooded with water.
"It's funny, the world feels like it stops when it's raining"

"I think the world stopped turning when we met" Flynn whispered.

Luckily, Josie didn't hear him while she was too busy looking at the rain falling from the sky full of stars.

".....are you even listening?" Josie said out of no where.

"What?" Flynn shouted, jumping in his seat from getting startled.

"Never mind" Josie giggled. "You were just staring at me like I was a alien or something"

"Oh, sorry" Flynn looked at the rain rolling down the road.

"It's like it's never ending"

"What is?"

"The rain. It just keeps coming"

"Yea" Flynn looked up at the stars.

"It's cool how the stars stay the same when it's raining. I'm surprised it even is raining. We've been a drouth for, I dunno, years it seems like" Josie joined the gaze.

"You should probably get home. It's almost f-f in the morning" Flynn stuttered.

"Can I show you something before I leave?" Josie asked getting my up from the rocking chair.

"Sure" Flynn stood up as well.

Josie pulled out a locket from her pocket. It had a picture of a women maybe in her early twenties, with blond hair and green eyes. "It's my mom"

"It's all, old looking" Flynn whispered.

"It's because it's an old photo of her before her and my dad met" Josie's voice cracked a little.

Flynn looked at her in concern. "Did I say something?"

Josie shook her head. "No, it's just, I really miss her and I only share stuff like this to close people. Mostly the ones I trust. And I feel like I can trust you"

"Thank you. I believe I can trust you too" Flynn smiled.

Josie smiled. She closed the silver locket slowly, going to put it in her pocket but Flynn stopped her.

"You should wear it" Flynn said grabbing her wrist that was near her waist.

"But, it's all old and rusty"

"So?"

Josie gave Flynn the locket and she turned around so that he could put it on her.
She smiled. "Thank you"

"Your welcome"

"I better, go. I can almost already hear my dad yelling at me" Josie teased.

"I can wake up Hadley if you would like a ride home?"

"No troubles, I rode my bike, it's just by the tree at the back of your house"

"Do you have your flashlight still?"

"Yea, I'll be fine" Josie smiled and walked off the porch. She put her flashlight in the basket and peddled off into the road. Water splashing from beneath her.

Flynn watched her glide across the water until she turned the corner. He slowly opened the door.

"Who was that?" Flora asked, standing directly in front of Flynn.

"My, uh-"

"Girlfriend?"

"Yea, yea, girlfriend" Flynn lied.

"Does she go to our school?"

"Flora, it's almost five in the morning and your asking questions already. Save it for school. Can we have this conversation when we're on the bus?"

"Ok, but you have to tell me who it is or I will tell dad you snuck out"

"Dude, I stayed on the porch the whole entire time!? That's not sneaking out"

"But you went out the window"

"Still! I didn't sneak out!"

"Ok" Flora laughed and the two went back to their room. Falling asleep soundly.

------

Josie arrived home and parked her bike in the garage. Hoping her father didn't hear the garage open.
She hurried inside and tried going back to sleep.

Josie completely forgot about how short the weekend was. She had to face Flynn at school. Again. Josie was pretty positive that she wouldn't have to talk to him but have to deal with Flora freaking out to the fact she met the famous star. Flora is still on the hunt to find out who Rylnn really is and she will not stop until she dose. Josie gets pretty bummed when she lies and says she has to study instead of hanging out with Flora on the weekends. Flora is always free when Josie has to film. It's so weird. It's like the world doesn't want Josie and Flora to hang out and become closer than they are now.

Josie fell asleep, thinking about how she was going to have to deal with anything if Flynn recognized her at school. She's grown up with them and she's kept the secret. Why is it such a big deal now?

«A/N: Sorry it's a little shorter than the others:(»
