"Music was her escape from the world"

Part Eleven: Different Now // 1

Flynn was near the back gate where hardly anyone in the family goes. There's a shed, then a garage, then the weird black gate that doesn't match the other wooden fence.
The gate separated the house and a large field with a park and swings. There was also a dirt rode that no one ever knew about on the other side of the field. The twins went halfway down the road, then got scared and ran back home.

Flynn always liked to sometimes jump the gate and swing for a bit, just to get his mind off of things. But today, he was wearing new pants and nice shoes so he couldn't jump it. There was an opening, but his dad hid the key and never told him where it was.

Josie searched the big yard until she found the big shed and heard some things moving and scramming around from outside.

Josie stepped on the concrete and off the grass and dirt. She peeked through the small crack in the badge door.

There was Flynn, searching through his dad's tools and things trying to find something.

Flynn turned around so that he was facing away from the door, the perfect opportunity to have a little fun and scare him.

She opened the door a little more until she slipped through, good thing Flynn didn't notice the dark shed got a little brighter. Josie looked around before she closed the door. It made the loudest bang anything could possibly make and Flynn fell on his back.

"Ow!" Flynn grunted rubbing his head. He had turned around a little to see who made the loud noise. "Josie?! W- what are you doing out here?" he stuttered a little out of breath.

"I heard someone made you upset, and I saw you run away from inside. You never step foot outside when Gwen is here. At least that's what Flora told me" She looked around the small house like structure "what is this stuff anyway?"

Flynn realized Josie was picking up a sharp object. "Don't touch that!"

Josie flinched and scraped her arm. It was from her wrist, all the way to the inside of her elbow.

She fell to the ground, holding her arm in pain.

"F-Flynn" Josie said breathless, biting her bottom lip from pain.

"Holy-" Flynn got on his knees in front of Josie on the floor.

"What d-do I do?" Josie whispered in pain. A tear running down her face.

"That's deep, we need to get you inside, now" Flynn looked at the deep, 3 inch cut in Josie's left arm.

Flynn helped Josie up, holding her waist from behind as he opened the door.

Josie couldn't move an inch, the cut was deep, there was blood everywhere- the blade cut right were her vains in her wrist were. It hurt. And it hurt a lot.

Flynn and Josie finally got to the door after a, somewhat seemed like to be, long walk back to the house. Flynn slid open the door, right as Josie fell again.

Josie was now breathing even harder than she was before.

"Dad!" Flynn shouted into the house.
