Part Eighteen: Remember

The three amigos quickly went back up the road, Flora and Flynn dropped Janice off at the gate and ran home as fast as they could. They were almost there when Flora stopped for a breath.

"Flynn, I can't run, any, more!" Flora breathed heavily with her hands on her head.

Flynn stopped as well "I know" he gulped "I can't either"

"Maybe we should, call Hadley, she'll understand" Flora looked up Haldey's phone number in her phone.

"Deal" Flynn sat on the curb of the road. "We're on Taffy Drive, next to the taffy factory"

"K" Flora put the phone to her ear. "Hadley? Yea, were fine"

Josie got chills from the bright light on her. There was a sort of pressure on her face. She wanted to sit up but she didn't have the strength. Her arms and legs felt fuzzy, and asleep. Her fingertips were ice cold.
No one was in the room, even Josie could tell. She felt one presents though, it was quit small but it seemed like they weren't moving.

Josie saw a figure above her. It was like a shadow. But she couldn't recognize the face. The mysterious shadow was just staring down at her, not moving.
Josie slowly started lifting her hand. She had planned on trying to touch the figure, but she heard a loud bang.

"Hey! You aren't suppose to be in here!" The voice rung in her ears.

Her hand stayed still. The figure turned directly to the loud noise.

A bang happened again.

".....what are you doing here!we can't......"

A scream was all Josie heard after that. It wasn't a scream as if there was fear involved, but both sadness and fear. The loss of someone maybe.

Josie's eyes fluttered a little, the light had suddenly went dim.

"Josephine, Josie! Can you hear me!"

A familiar voice rung through her ears.

She opened her mouth a little but couldn't properly function so that words could fully come out. As if there were something blocking her from speaking.

"Josephine if you can hear me, please wake up baby, we need you"
The voice sounded as if he or she was hurt.

"Josephine, remember, you can always come back and see me" Another voice said.

Josie had had enough. "Stop!" she shouted.

She jerked herself awake. It was hard to breathe, there was hardly any air for her to breathe it seemed. Her dad sat in the corner of the room holding a child's hand.

"Dad? Janice? W-what-" Was all Josie could say, everything was blurry.

"Nurse! Nurse Golding she's awake!" Mitch yelled from his chair.

Nurse Golding rushed in the room. "Sweet heart, breathe"

Josie had not noticed her breathing was out of control. There were slow, heavy ones and rushed quiet ones in the middle. She clutched her fist "I need them, I need them now-"
