Part Thirteen Different Now // 4
Flynn and Flora's faces were covered in tears and even more as they road to the hospital. The last time they were in there, they almost lost their little sister, and neither of them want to lose Josie. Not yet. Not ever.
"We're here guys" Brandon parked the car in a parking spot near the main door of the hospital. "Grandma J is picking up Nick so we won't have to worry about him anymore"
Flynn and Flora got out of the car slowly, not picking up their feet as they crossed the road. They opened the door, the smell of plastic and other weird things filled the air.
Brandon greeted the nurse at the front desk "Yes, hi, we're here to see Josie Ross-"
"Josephine, Ross" Flynn sniffed.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Josephine Ross, I got a call from her father"
"Yes, she is in her room right now but I'm sure her father is in the waiting room, floor seven"
"Thank you" Brandon lead Hadley and the twins to a near by elevator.
They went up to floor four, then had to get off that elevator, get on another one, and finally arrived on floor seven. None of them saying a word.
Mitch and Janice were still in the waiting room. Mitch was contacting family near by while Janice was asleep.
"There's Mitch, over there" Hadley pointed to a large corner with nothing but chairs and a small tv mounted on the wall.
Hadley and Brandon talked to Mitch about what had happened. It was all an accident but it was a very intense one.
"How long had Josie been here before she became unconhes?" Hadley asked. They had been sitting in silence for a good minute.
Mitch took a breath "What Janice had told me was, Josie was conches in the ambulance but didn't move or talk. The doctors brought her in a room and starte-" Micth saw Kevin come out of the room from the corner of his eye.
"Kevin, what's happening in there? Where is my daughter?" Mitch stood up.
"She's still not awake yet, she hasn't been awake at all" Kevin wiped his forehead.
"What do you mean she hasn't been awake?" Mitch let out a shaky breathe.
"The doctor said she passed out on the way here and never woke up. They tried but she's not waking up. Her heart rate is going crazy and the beat was almost down completely" Kevin sighed. "She's ready if you want to see her"
Mitch looked at Janice and the twins.
"Hadley, Flora and Flynn can come if they would like" Mitch looked at Josie's room.
"Flora, you can go" Hadley rubbed Flora's shoulder on her right.
Flora looked at Flynn for permission. "I'll go with you" he said.
