Part Five: The Fight & Loosing Trust

"...and you have to make sure all the angles are congruent or we'll be coming completely screwed" Josie tried explaining what to do for the math project. For the eleventh time.
Seventh grade math wasn't that hard.

They were given a chart and their assignment was to make a city out of shapes that are congruent or equal. The students were to measure their shape and put it around the city, making sure they had all the regular city buildings like a post office and a store.
It was pretty complicated to explain.

"Do you understand now?" Josie asked, ready to start. She noticed all the students were already talking about what their name for the city or town would be.

"Uh, sure" Flynn said confused.

Josie gave him a death stare. "Nope, we are not failing. You understand but you just don't want to admit it. Close your eyes. Imagine this, your playing a video game and you have the map of the whole town pulled up, what do you see?"

"Ok" Flynn closed his eyes. "I see, square and rectangular shapes with-"  he sighed and opened his eyes "it's not working Josie"

"Yes it is, you were into it. You just need a more quiet place to think. I know that because that's how I am" Josie had this way of getting some sort of connection with how people's minds work. It feels like she knows everything. And that's because she dose.

"Should we skip lunch and, go outside or something?" Flynn suggested, feeling kind of lame.

"That's, not a bad idea"

"Ok good. It's settled, no more work until lunch" Flynn teased.

Josie gave him a straight face and handed him his pencil. "No Mr.Brassel, that is not correct" she teased.

"Yes, Ms.Ross, that is correct" Flynn laughed and took his pencil.

------

Josie and Flynn snuck out of the cafeteria and went outside of the school building.

"Won't we get expelled for leaving school grounds?" Josie asked shaky, sitting down on the curb.

"No, we'll get detention but not kicked out of school. If we're lucky" Flynn got his math binder out, Josie getting hers.

"So, you ready to creat Gothem City?" Josie teased.

"How do you know about Gothem City?" Flynn asked.

"I'm not that lame"

"Are you sure? You have the periodic table as your profile picture on Tweeters"

Tweeters is a school supervised chat room, sort of like the concept of FaceBook but the principles and teachers supervise. They have chat rooms and things. They could post what they wanted and if anyone said anything inappropriate, they would be banned from the school site. They got the name Tweeters from their school mascot, which is a bird named Tweety.

"Oh really, your the one guy that has a tumblr account in the whole school"

"Your a follower of PicturePerfect?!"

"Uh, duh? Your account has literally the most coolest pictures on Tumblr, it's insane how talented you are. You should join the photographers club or something"

"I'm already signed up for the Young Actors club, isn't it a rule that you can only be part of one?"

"Yea, but who listens to teachers these days?"
