Flynn POV
So, today is the day I try out for the part of Chance in 'Normal' which so happens to be Rylnn's love interest. I am so excited and so happy that Hadley talked to the producer about me trying out. Hadley is pretty cool actually. She has these cool dragon tattoos and has these cool ear spike thingy she wears and- she's just cool. I can't wait till my dad and her get married. Stefanie, my real mom, didn't care about us at all. We don't even know if my dad is the father of Gwen yet. My dad knows for sure she's his. They look exactly alike and she has his eyes and nose.
Florence is pretty cool with Hadley. They've grown close since my dad started dating her. We were, six I think, my dad had a friend of his come over and watch us while him and Hadley went on dates and he asked for our opinion about asking her to marry him and of course we said yes. We were 12 and we didn't have a mom. Who wants to live like that? I never liked not having a mom. There would be no one to embarrass me in front of my friends.
My dads pretty cool too. He lets me have friends over on weekends and let's me and Flora go to the store by ourselves. He always says "Your thirteen! It's the age that you start discovering new things and taking chances" and Flora hates it but he always supports us. Flora is pretty good at playing the guitar and our dad goes to all of her practices and he is just so proud of her.
My dad is pretty sensitive too. Whenever we go into court once a year to try to get Gwen, it always ends up the same way. My dad getting emotional and we never get to finish the whole court case. Gwen doesn't have any clue what's going on half of the time and that's pretty much the only thing that's the same. Besides the judge and my dad storming out of the court house. Flora never goes to the court cases to try to get custody over Gwen because she doesn't like to deal with bad situations. She doesn't like pressure and having to chose things. She never did. The only thing she ever chose was to live with me and dad.
Hadley is taking me and Flora to the set of Normal and we are about to jump out of our skin! We are so excited! Hadley already knows around the neighborhood/set they film at because she's been in a couple of episodes since she's friends with Mitchell Ross, the producer of normal, and they've been friends since high school. Yea, that's how cool Hadley is.
Josie POV
Today is the day I get to meet boys who are trying out for the roll of Chance Norman on 'Normal' and I'm pretty nervous actually. What if I end up knowing them from school or something? What is they find out Rylnn is me?
I'm pacing back and forth in my trailer, just thinking about how I'm going to have to explain everything to them about hiding my identity. I've already met them all, but one, my dad said he's almost here. All the boys I've met I didn't recognize at all from school or anything which I am so relieved about.
"Hey J, what's up?" Kevin came in Josie's trailer. Kevin and the rest of the cast settled on Josie's 'code name' on set. She goes by J while they're not filming but they all know her real name is Josie. Except for Hadley since she's new.
Josie stopped pacing and sat next to Kevin. "What is he's someone I know from school or- I dunno, like, what if he finds out that I'm really Rylnn? What if he recognizes me from school?! God I'm nervous as hell!"
"I know, I'm nervous for you too" Kevin knew what it felt like to hide. "When I had to come out to my dad, I felt like I couldn't do anything, but he was ok with it. And you'll be ok with it too. Your just gonna have to get use to it"
