Part Six: Confusion & Accident
At the end of fifth grade, Bridget Green asked Flynn out on a date to the movies and Flynn turned her down since he was only 11 and was still getting over his parents divorce. Bridget is the cheer captain and always flirts with Flynn when she gets the chance. Flynn really likes her but is not sure he wants to date her.
Bridget and Flora were very good friends before this all happened so she got mad and didn't speak to Flora for a long time. Bridget's anger got out of hand when she tripped over a broom and thought Flora pushed her from behind as she walked by.
Bridget punched Flora in the nose and Flora tried pulling away but realized the only way to was to fight back and the two fell to the floor in the middle of the cafeteria. Teachers came running in and getting Bridget off of Flora. Not even stoping by the nurse, the two went to the office.
Flora got detention for two months while Bridget got expelled. Flora wasn't planning on telling her dad or Hadley what happened but needed her best friend.
The school day shortly ended, but Flora and Bridget didn't go home, they stayed in the office and got their work from their teachers. The vice principal made them stay until four. Josie stayed after school and waited for Flora. Flynn waited so that he could talk to Bridget. He really wanted to get to know her better and just ignored the fact that she despises his sister. Flynn had this feeling of betrayal and hated it. He thought if Bridget had a good reason, the fight wouldn't really be that big of a deal.
Flora came out of the office first. She saw Josie by her locker and walked over to her. Not looking back at her brother, not even bothering to speak to him.
"Hey Josie" Flora greeted with a fake smile.
Josie closed her locker door and faced Flora. "Why did this happen?"
"What? The fight?" Flora asked confused.
"No, your brother is on Bridget's side" Josie noticed the office door opening.
Flora looked back at the door. Noticing Flynn with his arm around Bridget.
In bad situations, Flynn was always on his family's side. He always had Flora's back.
Flora was very shocked that Flynn wasn't the supportive brother she thought he was.
"Flynn?!" Flora shouted down the hall way.
Flynn turned around. "Yea?"
Flora took a deep, shaky breath. "What is happening?"
"Oh, you haven't heard? Bridget's my girlfriend" Flynn said with a grin.
"Why are you being such a jerk Flynn?" Josie asked.
Flynn just walked away with Bridget under his arm.
"This cannot happen again" Flora looked at Josie. "We have to stop him from-"
"Wait, what do you mean again?"
"I'll explain later. But for now we have to get my brother back" Flora grabbed Josie's wrist and they ran outside.
"FLYNN!" Both Josie and Flora shouted as Flynn stepped towards the road.
