( Chapter edited)
A bomb.
The day had exactly started with a news bomb: one of the best known football players in the world, had his face plastered in every magazine and newspaper - national and international. It was is second scandal in a span of two months, and that had to end.
Albert Wolff was already in his office, working and trying hard to ignore the news. He was the owner of the largest management company of sports career. He managed to build a great empire and today his company was one of the most successful ones, they managed most German sportsmen.
Although, there was one that was giving them particularly more trouble than the most...
Bernard, his business partner came into Albert's office, with his hands full of newspapers and magazines. " Have you seen today's papers?"
Albert sighed as he took his eyes from the computer, " Yes, I saw them. This is spreading so fast, by now most Europe should know what he did. I think it's time to intervene."
Bernard nodded in agreement as he sat a cross Albert's desk, " I think so too. I don't know what his wrong with him but he has zero self-judgement. If this keeps going, he'll end his image as a professional athlete in a couple of months. Two weeks...two weeks ago, we got him out of a scandal and somehow he managed to get himself into another."
They were managing over 3,500 sporting careers but none gave as much work as Marco Reus one.
" He needs a tight supervision, I'm not seeing any other option." Albert admitted, " these scandals have to end, for his sake and for the company's sake."
"I think the same," Bernard agreed. " Do you have any ideas?" Now, what they needed more than anything was a solution, to stop this once and for all.
Albert shook his head, " Not yet, but we need to get one quick before he gets here. I also think it's best if Greg is here, he is Marco's agent after all."
Bernard nodded, and Albert processed to call his employee. When he answered the phone, Albert said he was needed in his office to discuss Marco's situation.
Less than five minutes, Greg was in his office, sat next to Bernard discussing a solution for ending the scandals.
"When is Marco coming?" Bernard asked again. They needed the exact hours so that they could find a solution until then.
Greg spoke, " He should be here around four pm, right after training." He had talked with Marco just minutes before he had been called into his boss's office.
"Okay, so, that gives us some time," Albert said, feeling a little more relieved. " We need to find a solution until then because I don't want him making the covers again."
Greg sighed frustrated, " I think no one wants to repeat this again, two is enough already. I told him so many times not do this..."
"What is done is done, Greg," Albert stated. Now their only concern was figuring out a way to end this.
Then Bernard suggested, " We could ask your daughter, Albert, to look into this. She knows how to handle this kind of situations."
Instead of hearing voices of an agreement, Bernard heard Greg laugh.
He frowned, " Why are you laughing, Greg? This isn't funny!"
"Sorry," Greg said between laughs, " I...I just thought you knew but well, you clearly don't."
"What are you talking about?" He asked. Greg hadn't explained a thing, he still remained confused.
"The issue here is this," Albert started explaining, " Carole and Marco don't get along since they were kids, sometimes is unbearable. They argue all the time and don't know how to have a peaceful conversation with each other."
