The match ended with another victory for the famous black and yellows. Now they were closer to Bayern, the fight for the top of the table was just starting.

This evening they had won 3-1 against Hertha Berlin, playing an excellent match. Marco was the outstanding player of the match, in the end, he was named man of the match, which made Carole super happy. He scored the opening goal and assisted the two others, scored by Mats and  Erik.

In other words, he couldn't had ask for a better return. If felt good being on the pitch, playing again and the reporters...well, after that performance they weren't going to be reporting about those scandals from the last two weeks.

After the match, Carole and Cathy went down to the stadium's parking lot. They were going to wait for them to get out of the locker room.

Mats was one of the first to get out as he walk close to them, Cathy exclaimed, excited. " Congratulations hubby! You scored an amazing goal!"

He kissed her on the lips and then replied, " Thanks baby." Then he looked at Carole, " Marco should be here at any minute. He had some post-match interviews to give."

"Post - match interviews?" Carole asked preoccupied. She had cover all the bases but somehow she forget the most important. The post-match interviews. Marco better not screw all the work she had been doing this two weeks.

Mats put one hand over her shoulder, trying to calm her down. " Yes. Relax because he isn't going to screw it up."

She sighed, " He better, because if he doesn't, he's in real trouble." She didn't want more bad publicity and more scandals, he needed to get back to his old self.

Mats chuckled. " God, you guys are so funny. Do you even know how to stop? I guess not, you and Marco are like kids fighting for the last candy."

In the locker room, the team liked to tease Marco a lot about his relationship with Carole. Many even dared to say that what they both needed was spending a night with each other.

Carole rolled her eyes and groaned, " Hey, were not children!"

Mats laughed with her reaction, it was same with Marco. God, they were really much alike.

Meanwhile, Marco arrived to where they were. His hair was still wet because he had just taken a shower and a mess, his usual hair mode after matches. Carole looked at him, thinking he still manage to somehow captivate her looking miserable tired like that. She shook the thought away, she had a boyfriend and thinking of Marco that way couldn't happen. It couldn't.

Carole ignored her thoughts and Mats laugh. " Did you screw up in the post match interviews?"

Marco smiled lightly, of course that would be her first concern. " Relax, princess. Everything went fine, I only answered the standard match questions they asked me."

"Oh, thank god, that's great." Carole said relief. Then she looked at him and smiled lightly, " By the way, congratulations. You did what I asked." She grinned.

He chuckled, pleased that she had complimented him...in her own style. " Thanks, princess."

Compliments from Carole Wolff were very difficult to come by, and he had received two in a space of hours. He felt extremely good and it wasn't just because he had been back on the pitch.

Cathy intervened in their moment. " Guys, we're heading home now." She had her arms around Mats waist while he had one of his arms around her shoulders. " Carole, call me. We have to hang out sometime."

She nodded, " Yeah, ok. Bye."

They said their goodbyes to Mats and Marco, then they were left alone.
