Carole got back to her office after her meeting with Marco ended. She was still furious with the situation, with her dad and with everything that could happen because of this crazy. She had only agreed to be his public relations, not to live with him.
She open her computer and replied to some emails, hoping to forget everything that had happen just a couple of minutes ago. She replied to some but after half an hour, Carole couldn't go on because she started thinking in what Marco had said about Edward.
He was damn right, there was no way he wasn't going to be angry with her for agreeing in something like this. He hated Marco...but like real hate, not like her. Carole didn't hate Marco, he was just annoying to her.
After sometime she decided to call him, "Hi, baby. How are you?"
"Hi," he answered, Carole hoped he was smiling. " I'm fine, tired but ok. How was your day?"
She sighed, " Not good, in fact, it was awful." Stupid Marco and stupid trapped that her dad had manage to make, " Are you in Dortmund? I really wanted to talk with you about something important."
Carole wanted to tell him personally, it wasn't a conversation to have on the phone.
"I just got here, Carole is everything ok? You getting me worried." He asked, afflicted. He could see that something was up, Carole was strange and talking with him with a sad voice.
She shook her head and said, " There's no need to worry, I'm fine. I'll see you in couple of minutes."
Carole hung up, close her computer, grabbed her coat and purse and made her way home. She lived in a apartment not far from the building where she worked. Edward had the key although they still didn't live together, it felt like it because whenever he was in Dortmund he stayed with her. He lived in Gelsenkirchen, city where he worked, but he came a lot to Dortmund to visit her, it wasn't very distant by car.
She got into her apartment, open the door and said, " Hi," as she got in an put her things into the couch of the living room.
Greg stood up from the other couch, where he was seeing TV, he smiled. " Hi, baby." He breathily kissed her on the lips, " So, what is that you have to tell me?"
Carole took a deep breath, brushing her hair out of her eyes. " Your not going to like one bit what I'm going to tell you. Even I don't like it."
He gave her a small smile of encouragement, " Can't be that bad."
She continued, " Oh, but it is that bad. You saw today's papers right?"
"Yeah," he let an amuse smile scape his lips. " Reus is the celebrity of the moment. That guy is even stupider than I thought, no football player in his right mind goes out the evening before a match. It's very unprofessional."
"Yes, really unprofessional." Carole agreed. She knew well the work she needed to do in this next months.
"Wait...but what does Reus has to do with you?" He asked confused.
Carole put one hand behind her neck, this was it. " Well, my father asked me to help him control all this and reverse the situation around."
Now, what left telling him was actually the hard part, Edward was so going to freak out.
"No wonder why he needs your help, he's a complete idiot." He said, " You're going to help aren't you?" He could see by her expressions that she had accepted to help although she didn't look happy about it. He had to give Albert some credit, he had good persuasions skills to convince his daughter in doing something like this and for Marco.
