Two weeks. Two weeks of hell.
Marco's house was never the same since Carole had moved in. There was no silence or calmness, it was always discussion after discussion. They argued about almost everything - food, cars, football... He felt that the house was going to explode at any time.
However, if he wanted her out, he had to do what she asked and that's what he was doing. Marco was carrying out strictly the plan she had made for him and with that going well, Tuchel raised the punishment so he was going to start playing again in the Bundesliga, German Cup and Champions League. That was the high light of having her living with him, he was happy to be playing again.
In his opinion nothing beat having a ball in his feet.
Today was Sunday, so in other words, today was Bundesliga's day. Dortmund was going to face Hertha the Berlin this evening. It was a good match but, of course, not as important has the match they had in a couple of days for the Champions League.
"Marco, just please play well." Carole pleaded for the hundredth time.
It was 8:00 AM, both were having breakfast in the kitchen. Marco could see that Carole hadn't sleep well, she was too agitated and had too much bags under her eyes, covering that with makeup was going to be hard.
Marco ignored her concern." I always play well, have you forgotten what kind of player I am? I'm Dortmund's star." He was teasing her, he knew that Carole got annoyed with those comments.
She rolled her eyes, " Yeah, yeah, keep telling yourself that. You and the rest of the world know that if there is one star in BVB it is the fans."
"I know that." Marco agreed, his joke hadn't played the way he wanted. She really needed to sleep well, he liked more when he could affect her.
She continued eating her breakfast, Marco stood silent for some time.
He then sighed, " Car, why are you giving too much importance to today's match? It's just Hertha the Berlin. There is one more important coming in a few days."
Carole smile lightly, Marco didn't notice such thing, she was happy that he called her again by her childhood nickname. Strangely, she loved when he called her that way, he was the only one to ever do that. Yes, it was weird due to their hostile relationship but she didn't care, it felt good when he called her by that name.
" I know that, but it's an important step." She started, " In fact, you should try and be man of the match."
His eyes widen, " Car, are you just 100% crazy? You know very well how football works, I can't promise things like that. Football is very unpredictable." Carole wasn't thinking right, she really needed to sleep, what she was saying was absolutely crazy. Yes, he was one of the best players of the team, Tuchel himself had said that a couple of times, but promise to be man of the match was something impossible to do.
"Common it's not that unpredictable," Carole didn't agree with him. She knew what he was saying was true but he was an amazing player, being best on the pitch wasn't a difficult job for him to accomplish. " Your one of the best players of the team, you can do that."
Marco frowned. If there was one thing that Carole almost never does is giving compliments, something was up. " Ok, clearly something is going on in here. You never give me compliments, Car. So, what do you gain by me doing a great performance?"
"It just facilitates my work," she replied honestly.
"What do you mean?" He asked confused.
