After eating her breakfast, Carole took her car and rode down to her office. She had a lot of work to do and she was behind schedule. Since she moved, her work and been move to second place, at the least the other work that was not Marco related.

Carole tried to work but she couldn't concentrate, she had too much to think. She had Marco in her head, what happen when they got home, what happened last night, the phone call.. Ugh, she was going to explode at any moment.

Why can he possibly be hiding? What reason does he have for wanting to protect me?

"Hey, Caro." Greg said as he got into her office. He waited for her answer but it didn't came, he frowned. Carole was miles away which was not normal, at least with her, she was that one person that almost never got distracted when working. " Caro, are you listening? Hey, is everything alright?"

Carole shook her thoughts and concentrated on the person that was talking with her, who apparently was Greg. "Oh, Greg...I'm sorry, I was distracted."

"That's not you," Greg said as he put some papers in her desk and sat on the chair across her desk. " Your like the only person I know that doesn't get distracted when she's working. So, what's up?"

Carole shrugged," Greg, I'm allowed to be distracted from time to time."

Greg smiled lightly, he knew that she was worried about something. He knew her for almost seven years and he never saw her distracted when working. " Carole, you don't look well. You look tired like you stayed all night up and plus your distracted while your working which in seven years I never saw."

She sighed, " Fine, your right. I...I...just have a lot in my mind right now, nothing to worrying though."

"As your friend can I help you with something? What's making you distracted from work?" Greg asked concerned but also curious. It was the first time he had seen her like that and he was curious to know who or what was making her like this.

" Marco is distracting me," Carole blurted out but it came like she was interested in him rather them furious for him not telling what he was talking about last night with Mats.

Greg eyes widen, " Marco is distracting you? Well, that's something new and unexpected."

"Not in that way, Greg." Carole quickly corrected, blushing.

Greg chuckled as he teased, " So, in what way is he distracting you?"

Carole groaned, rolling her eyes. Then before she started explaining what had caused her distraction, she remembered that Marco and Greg besides having a work relationship were also friends. They had been for some years.

"You and Marco are close, right?" She asked.

Greg frowned, " Yeah, kinda of. You probably know him better than I do. You grew up with him. Caro, what does that have to do with what you were talking about?"

"Everything, maybe you can help me." Carole replied quickly while she thought she maybe had the change to finally find out what the call was all about.

Greg sighed, " I'm not understanding a thing, Carole. What does my knowledge of Marco as to do with you being distracted?"

She ignored his question, Carole wasn't interesting in that, she was interested in knowing other things. " What does he tell you about me?"

" Why do you want to know that, Carole?" Greg asked confused, her question was making any sense. At this point he couldn't understand a thing that was going on. " You already know what he says about you. He's always complaining, other than that nothing. Well, if we want to put all in the same box, he also complains about your boyfriend. In reality, he even complains more about Edward than you."
