So I had to write this thing for school and I'm playing Kindness (like as a person) in a skit and this is "her" poem to society.
-----------
My name is kindness
You should probably try this
I'm a light for the broken
I'm a breath to the choking
I'm a meal for the hungry
I'm salvation for the lost
Little do you know
I am at no cost
Many try to impersonate me
In the shadows of what society said they should be
Hiding like a child
Painting a smile
A perfect cover
A plastic mask
But don't you see they can't last?
You think you know who I am
I can't fight
I can't heal
But I'll tell you I can
Kill with kindness
Not weapons and vulgarity
Maybe then that will give you some clarity
On what I could be
And how I could be used
But you're only speaking your words to abuse
You look down on her and say
"She's worthless"
Or you push him around
Making him feel nervous
But little do you know these are the souls
That shoot up their schools and have no life goals
You think I don't exist
But listen to this
I'm here
I'm not dead
I'm trapped inside of your head
In the back room
That you never open
Can't you see your kindness is broken
This is my cry
I say, this is my plea
Kindness is in you
Don't forget about me
--------
Be kind to people. I don't usually say this because I don't really like Cinderella where her whole shit is "always be kind and have courage". (I hate that bitch) but she does speak some truth I guess. Good job Cindy.
Love you darlings
