Chapter 20: The Plan

Axel who was cloaked and glamour was from mortal eyes walked up the pathway to Ann's home. Opening the door and entering, he saw ashes and dust of what was left of Ann and Lola.
"This rather sucks, looks like the brat figured out her fake family were demons. Was hoping to have her drained so I could kill her off without much of a fight!" He slammed both fists onto the table. He then flipped the table while heading upstairs and into Veronica's old room.
"Maybe something of importance was left." He started rummaging through her things only to find nothing, "guess she really did lose everything when I attacked."
With nothing left he would head for the door and leave. While walking down the path, he snapped his fingers and the house was engulfed in flames. Humans started running up to the house, screaming for Ann and the girls.
"Can't leave nothing behind that says demon activity." He smirked loving that part of the job. He then blinked out of sight.

A few minutes later, Axel arrived at the same exact mansion Joel, his cousin hosted the masquerade ball at. He entered and with a wave all the lights came on.
"Honey, I'm home!" He called as walked into the area where the dancing took place. Now a dark, purple, throne sat where the DJ was. In the throne sat a figure cloaked in darkness.
"I see, any news from those scums you call demons?" Even the voice was cloaked to not be able to tell if it was male or female, but it was dark and sent chills down the spine.
"Nope, dead."
"All of them?"
"Yup, they are nothing but charred dust."
"So that would mean the girl would indeed be feeling her power increase and stronger than ever since her power is no longer being drained. That rather sucks!" The figure pounded a fist that cracked the throne and caused the mansion to shake.
"Calm down, she still isn't strong enough to take the place as the new Angel of Death. She was delayed her development and that still makes it easy to kill her."
"Good luck, she's with two of the strongest of the Light Reapers."
"You forget, I was once a light reaper."
"Until I corrupted you."
"I still know them and I know their weakness. I even know the girl's weakness."
"And what is that?"
"Her friend. All I have to do is to do is lure her from her guardians with this friend and she's free for the killing."
"How will you get this friend."
"Have you forgot? I'm a siren. One kiss and the friend will obey my will."
"Hurry up! The coronation is in two days and I would love to watch the King die."
"I'll be off then."
"Where?"
"To start the plan, the friend is the most vulnerable asleep." He smirked as he took off and disappeared in a blink.
