Days turned into weeks, which poured into months, and soon ended up as a year. John and I had worked out everything we needed to so now he was supporting my musical career decision. I had recorded an album, and it had done actually very well. I was becoming really popular around the UK and soon my music started spreading around all of Europe. I could tell John was proud of what I had achieved - and I was just as proud about his success.

Before he was about to head over to America, we decided to take a walk and talk everything over, what are we going to do know that both of us were becoming profession artists in our own right. The weather was a piercing cold, the winter air was still on full blast even though it was February. We were walking along the sidewalk, it was almost 6:00 pm and John would be leaving within two days.

"Do you think it'll be a lot better?" John asked curiously

"America? I would think so," I shrugged holding onto his hand tighter

"I'm kinda nervous about it all, what if we go over there and mess up the whole thing? Come back failures? Then people won't take us seriously," He let out a frustrated sigh and I looked up at him

"I'm sure you'll be fine, you're four very talented men and people pick up on that talent quickly, I think America would be no different," I smiled, he looked at me and shook his head in amusement, untangling our fingers and wrapping an arm around me

"Are you gonna be okay here?" He asked

"In Liverpool? Yeah, I'll be fine."

"I hate leaving you,"

"We talked about this John. You'll be back, and I'll be here when you get back,"

"I love you," He spoke, smiling warmly

"I love you, too,"

He leaned down, planting a kiss softly on my lips and pulling me close. I wrapped an arm around him, as the kiss was broken. He held onto me tightly and started to walk again. I knew he wouldn't leave me stranded in Liverpool, I knew he would find some attractive blonde bombshells in America but I had faith he'd still come home and when he did he'd still be the same man as when he left.

                — Later —

Soon after John got back from America, I got an interesting surprise. We traveled to Italy while John had some free time, a happy little vacation that was much needed for the both of us. As we roamed the area, and found ourselves at the Juliet and Romeo castles and as cliche as it sounds, he proposed.

In August of 1965, I stood in front of a minister, holding hands with the love of my life, and saying I do in front of everyone I loved. And now, I start a new life. I'm ready to begin again. My career had set off, the world was finally beginning to worth with me instead of against.

And that boy, that lovely scouse boy, was forever mine.
