Deep within the forest a baby girl cries. Her sobs left unheard by anyone but the monsters feasting before her. Her face stained with blood, and he family's dead corpses scattering the ground is how they find her.
A young blonde girl sniffs the air. 'Stop.' She signs to her hunting group. 'Titan.' She piers around the tree, no sign of it so far. She leads her clan away from it when she hears the hearfilled cries and stops dead in her tracks.
'Child.' She signs. She runs to the baby, looking at her through the bushes. She is small, maybe 2 years at the most, with long black hair and deep chocolate eyes.
'Is it another clan?' A brunette male, her huspand, behind her signs. She sniffs the air.
'No.' She repsonds. The monster picks up the child and her sobs turn into screams if terror. The blonde knows she must act fast.
She shimmies up a tree and crawls out to the edge of a branch. She takes careful aim and then jumps down, using her scythe to gauge a piece of the beasts neck out. It falls to the ground, dropping the child. She lands and catches the toddler in her arms.
"You're safe now." She says outloud. "You're safe now Stream." She names her after the spot she found her, a forest close to a small flowing stream.
Years later the girl is grown, waving to her parents as they leave with their hunting group. They don't return. She's told by her sister to stay there but Stream won't listen, she takes her mother's extra scythe and goes out looking for them.
It begins to pour, imparting her vision. She pauses. "I'll never find them." She mumbles. A monster comes silently up behind her and she notices the smell. "Shit!" She says. She turns to face it, time to fight.
She jumps out of the way of its hand and runs up its arm to the neck, but before she can cut it it turns, causing her to fall. She stabs the scythe into its back, trying to keep from plumiting to the hard ground.
From the ground a distressed voice calls to the girl, "Stream!" The girl looks down to them. "Mom!" She cries, worried and afraid. The monster hears as well, turning to face the new meat.
"Mom help!" The girl cries, hanging on tightly trying desperately to keep up her 9 years of weight. The monster reaches down to the girls mother and she dodges.
"Stream! Don't worry I'll get you!" She calls. She climbs the nearest tree with amazing speed and jumps down, taking off its hand. If she took the time to climb again it would have already reached the girl on its back with its ohter hand. She instead takes out its heels. It falls backwards, squishing the girl beneath it.
"Stream!" The mother calls. Little does she know that it's not heavy enough to kill her, just simply to brake a bone or two, and that was the ground doing the work.
The mother cries angry tears and slices up every part it can reach, but revenge has made her unalert. She's making foolish choices. She wants to make it pay. As she runs by to attack the other side it's able to bite her.
The girl hears the Crack of bones. She cries. "Mom." She sobs. The girl has always resorted to crying when times get tough. She can't move her legs and feels burns begining to form on her bare arms.
She reaches to her side and grabs ahold of her scythe, she flips it so that the cure is against the ground and uses all of her strength to push it into the monsters flesh. She painfully turns it, cutting out a piece just big enough to kill it. And once it disappears she crawls to the base of a tree.
"Stream!" A voice shouts. But it's not the girls mother but her sister who had gone after her. The sister hug tightly as the youngest cries. "Stream." The eldest says relieved. "It's ok."
Sorry this was poorly written, I hate 3 person pov. I was getting to far to fast in the plot and set up this flashback! :3 what do you guys think? Did you like it? Should I do more? Or would you prefer me to keep to the main plot?
