A/N: OK guys, I don't want to take up to much space because half of you will skip this anyway but thank you so much for 100 views! Like, we have 109 as I'm writing this! Omg, thank all of you! As a thank you I want to know your favorite cannon character that's not in the story, I'll be sure to put them in the next chapter. ^-^
We reached the walls once again, and I marveled at the sight. They seemed taller than I remembered. Maybe we shouldn't go in. No. We were told to. We were forced to.
I climb the wall and my group does the same, we were all silent, acting as though we didn't want to get caught. However that's just what we needed to do.
We slipped past civilians easily as they all thought we were army members. We even made it into the HQ fine. Now to find Stream. We kept our heads down and saw no sign of anyone. I sniffed the air. I smelled Stream! But I smelled something else too, something fainter. The dwarf.
I ran to the smell, making my steps as silent as possible. "Stream!" I say smiling as I turn the corner. But what I see isn't my friend. My eyes widen in fear at the horror before me.
The dwarf stands there, blood covering his gloved hands, Streams blood. The smell was so strong it had masked his own.
"You're back!" He says slightly shocked. I back away slowly. "Oh no you don't!" He says catching my arm. 'Run!' I sign to the others.
Night and Foal rush down the hall in opisite directions but Fae just stands there wide eyed. The dwarf catches sight of her and follows her gaze to his hands. He releases me and takes a step towards her as he speaks.
"Fae, I know what you're thinking. But I swear Streams fine." He says. She takes a step back.
"T-that blood...it smells like..." she doesn't finish. "What have you been doing to her?!" She breaths horrified.
I had never seen Fae like this, she was always stronger than us.
The dwarf sighs. "We wanted to know where your clan was, she wouldn't tell us so, we had hurt her." He replies.
"SHE DIDN'T KNOW WHERE THE CLAN WAS!" Fae spits back, now taking a step towards him, teary eyed. "We didn't even know where the clan was!"
"Fae...I'm so sorry." He shakes his head slightly and reaches to hug her. She slaps his hands away.
"Don't touch me." She growls, one thing alone in her voice, hatred. Pure and utter hatred. I felt bad for her. The one wall dweller she trusted had betrayed her.
But what bugged me more was Stream. What were they doing to her? Horrible images crossed my mind. Imaginary screams filled my ears.
"Where's Stream." I ask. He looks between us and sighs.
"You wouldn't want to see her." He says.
"Show me." Fae mumbles. He glances at her unsure and she meets his gaze with a state of determination. He sighs again.
"Follow me." He says slowly. He takes off his gloves and places them in a conviently located trashcan nearby. He reaches for Faes hand but she crosses her arms. No doubt his touch would make her go crawling back to him.
We walked down rows and rows of stairs until we were in the basement of the building.
"She's in here." He says slowly, motioning at a door. Fae and I step towards it and he grips her hand tightly, looking into her piercing green eyes. "Fae, please...you have to know that what I did wasn't my choice, I wanted you back so much. I had to know where you had gone and this was the only way."
