"I'm waking up,
To ash and dust,
I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust,
I'm breathing in, the chemicals.

This is it the apocalypse,
I'm waking up,

I feel it in my bones,
Enough to to make my systems blow,
Welcome to the new age,
To the new age."
- Imagine Dragons (Radioactive)

Video Log 1:
"I feel as thought the entire world I had previously known was a lie. A false figment of my imagination. Turns out, a lot more happened behind the scenes than I thought did. As I already knew, yeah, vampires were real. The pale-faced, bloodsucking monsters that haunted the movies and the books.

But there was more.
A lot more.

Ever thought those physic people that claimed they could tell the future were just scandals of society? Attempting to claim money of innocent people? Yeah, that's not true either. They can literally see the future. The actual future! The more Jayde told me, the more I started to understand. My eyes were being opened for the first time. I'm finally seeing the world clearly. I don't feel like the same moody teenage girl any more. I'm afraid. Afraid of what's to come. Afraid of what is here. Afraid of what's already happened. Jayde Shadow? Yeah, technically he should be called Jayde Glowstone. Because whenever I think about him being an, Angel, he glows. Full-on glows. Everyone in this 'heaven' glows. Jayde hasn't told me much. He's explained about some of the other supernaturals out there, but he refuses to tell me anything about, well, me. I'll get it out of him. I will. I've just gotta take it slowly..."

Jayde and I were sitting on this golden bridge. He was unusually quiet and I was sure he wanted to say something, but couldn't. But after time passed by, watching the sun move across the sky like a whale through water, he must've decided to speak up.

"If you are worrying about back home, you shouldn't. Everything's being taken care of." He hadn't yet looked at me, his vision was still on the horizon.

"But I can't just stay here! What about Darcy? Lucas? Athena? My parents? Leila-"

"I told you, everything is being taken care of," Jayde said. I missed my friends. My parents. It felt like I was just on holidays early, but with the one person I never thought I'd hang out with.

"How is everything being taken care of? We've been here for a week, we ditched a dead vampire body in the school library with blood everywhere, people think I'm dead, and you still won't tell me anything to do with what's really going on." I waited for an answer, expecting him to just give in and tell me everything, but not a peep left his lips.

"No one thinks you're dead. I guess, because you're not really dead,"

"What?!" I faced him and he faced me. He looked ashamed of himself, and I could certainly see why. "You've trapped me here for a week, allowing myself to believe that I'm dead?! That I will never see my friends or my family again?! Thinking that this is where I will spend the rest of eternity?" He finally gave in, and everything just came out.

"Well, the first thing you should know is that Darcy is actually a shapeshifter." That one piece if information blew my mind apart.

"Darcy? Shapeshifter? THE Darcy McHailen? My best friend? A shapeshifter," I couldn't wrap my head around it.

"Yes," he said. Suck it up Harpy, get it together. This is your life now. "And she's pretending to be you while you are gone. Her parents have told the school that Darcy is just sick, but they're in on it as well." Great. Even my best friend's parents know what's going on. But not me. Yeah, leave me out of the picture.
