"You can't hide from me,
There ain't no tricks that you can try on me,
I know your every move
Before you even breathe baby.

You're kissing her,
When my head is turned,
You must be crazy baby,
Haven't you learned?

You can't deceive a silly child,
I don't believe your pretty smile,
My intuition can see for miles and miles,
Every little sin, and everywhere you've been."

----------

We drove for hours non-stop, the three of us, Lucas on my right, James on my left and myself squished in between two sweaty guys with way too much deodorant. Thankfully, Lucas kept him mouth shut most of the way, only snarking in the conversation between James and I twice to "express" his "point of view". However, I decided that his interruptions were out of pure annoyance. It was as if Lucas Silverman, the famous player of the grade, was actually annoyed that I had finally found someone for me. Of course, every time he tried to say something to mock us, he gripped his arm and Leila honked the car horn. I was sleeping on James' shoulder when we arrived.

"Harper? Wake up," I stirred and opened my groggy eyes slowly, taking in my surroundings. I turned my head to see that Lucas was no longer sitting in the car, and Leila was outside holding the bag I had previously seen James pack. He opened the left-hand door and I struggled my way out from first the tangled seat-belt, then the actual car. James held my hand to help me out.

At first, the sunlight blinded me, but soon enough, my eyes adjusted. James and I walked over to Lucas and Leila, but apparently they were yet to see us standing right behind them, as Lucas got a fright when he heard James say,

"So, what now?" Lucas suddenly turned around to see us.

"Well, for starters, you don't scare the begeezers out of me," he sighed and ran his hands through his long hair, which obviously needed a cut. "And now we teach Harper here how to travel between realms...great..." He walked forwards and I looked around to see where we really were. We were in a large stretch of open land, surrounded by trees. I knew we weren't back in California where I lived and went to school, and supposedly where Hotel Tenebris was situated, because unlike the forests in California, this area was dead silent. No birds could be heard, no animals were in sight. Not one person was in view and I was surrounded by nothing but kilometres worth of fresh green grass. Then I realised what Lucas had said. I faced him,

"You said 'we teach', are you are Mori as well?" He smiled,

"Not specifically," he answered smugly, obviously not telling me the full truth.

"Oh, so let's add liar to the list of things you are," I muttered under my breath. Both Leila and James laughed, and I remembered the whole vampire super-hearing mojo. I thanked my lucky stars when he said back,

"What did you just say to me?" I laughed, internally calming myself down from the rush of hoping he wasn't part vampire.

"I guess I'm not the only one keeping secrets, huh?" He smiled evilly.

"When are you ever gonna figure out that I really don't give a damn about you?" That shut me up. Thank gosh 'heartless jerk' is already on the list I thought to myself. Then, Leila intervened.

"Guys, just get on with it! We only have eight hours before the Blood Clan needs me back." She said.

"What's the Blood Clan?" I asked her. She groaned, annoyed.

"You know, the bloodthirsty vamps back at Hotel Tenebris? And soon enough, they will be wondering where their leader has disappeared to," Before I could ask about her apparently being the leader of a whole entire vampire colony, James led me out to the open field, to the direct centre, with Lucas following behind.
