"They say I'm trouble,
they say I'm bad,
they say I'm evil,
that makes me glad.

So I got some mischief
in my blood,
Can you blame me,
I never got no love.

Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Who's the baddest of them all.
Welcome to my wicked world,
my wicked world."
- Descendants Cast (Rotten to the Core)

----------

I was standing in front of the burnt wooden door. The fishnet gloves itched my sensitive skin and the high-heel shoes were horrible to walk in. I had left my hair in, feeling like I had to keep at least a bit of the real me. But out of it all, for the first time in my life, I looked 'cool'! All the girls at Vienna High School rolled up the ugly green checkered skirts and put on tonnes of make up, but that's the worst I had ever come to being a bad girl. Yeah, I'd worn red lipstick before, but hot pink lipstick, black high-heels, a short black skirt and a midriff? No. Flipping. Way. But, this was what Leila wanted right? I walked back to the mirror and touched up the silver eyeshadow. It was light and hard to spot, but I liked it that way. I breached the threshold of the door, and felt for the door handle. I grabbed the handle and pushed it open. It opened and my view held to Leila sitting on the burnt couch I previously sat on while she changed. She looked up and smiled. She got off the iPhone 5 I didn't even know she had, and walked towards me. She reached her hand up and pulled my fringe from my neat hair.

"Turn around." She said to me. I did as I was told, and I felt tugging and pulling on my hair. When she had apparently finished doing my hair, she led me back into the bedroom. At first, my reflection startled me. The stranger in the mirror was not the kind-hearted, hard-studying, quiet school girl I knew so well. This girl was the opposite: my alter-ego, someone I never thought would surface.

Leila's face popped into the mirror, and I saw her big smile. It made me want to cry and say, "what did you do with the old Harper?" and at the same time, thank her and give her a giant hug for releasing a stranger in my soul. She had done my hair in a messy bun on top my head, and my curly fringe hung down each side of my face.

"Much better." She remarked. "Now, let's get out of this hellhole of a house." I nodded, and she threw the bag with all our old clothes and school uniforms into a corner of the room. Then, she simply walked her way out of the abandoned building. One thought came into my head. What about Derek?

"Leila?" I called out after her, but she didn't stop walking. "Leila!" She turned around to face me.

"What?! We are gonna be late if we don't hurry up. Argh," She stood waiting for an answer. I need to get Derek's body. I have to keep it safe so I can bring him back.

"I, um, left my watch in the bag, that you left in the house. I need to go back and get it." She sighed impatiently.

"You have five minutes." I nodded and rushed back inside and through the hole to where Derek's body was. For the second time that day, I heard a series of voices in my head. Words. Abscondam et abscondi . Hoc autem dico vobis non potest, ab illis non erat. In other words, Conceal and stay hidden. Be there when I call but don't be seen by those you mean is not well. I reached out my hands, careful not to touch any blood, and turned Derek over so that he was lying down on his back. His eyes were still opened and my gag reflex took control. I pushed the urge to puke up the lunch I never had away, and only just succeeded. I raised my arms, one hand over his head, the other just hovering over his heart. I whispered,

"Abscondam et abscondi . Hoc autem dico vobis non potest, ab illis non erat." Instantly, Derek's skin started to shimmer, and in a matter of seconds, he was completely invisible. I smiled, knowing that when I wished for him to reveal himself, he would. I'll bring you back when the time is right Derek. I promise. I stood up and brushed my knees off, and on the way out of the burnt down building, I grabbed my silver analog watch. I clasped the button, and then ran to Leila. She looked impatient and just sick and tired of everything, but together, we ran to an unidentified location. Leila knew where she was going, however, I did not.
