"See, we won't forget where we came from
The city won't change us
We beat to the same drum
No, we won't forget where we came from
The city can't change us
We beat to the same drum, the same drum.

And no matter where we go
We always find our way back home."

Video Log 2:
"I never thought I'd feel like this. So lost. So alone. Jayde told me that I can return home tomorrow. But, I don't think that will go very well somehow. For the past week, I've lived in this small house made of bricks while we are still in 'heaven'. It has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a lounge and a kitchen. I guess I don't mind. Jayde leaves me here every night and returns every morning with some food which he prepares for the two of us.

I'm so glad I get to go home tomorrow. But, will I have to keep this whole supernatural thing a secret? The one thing that has really changed throughout this thing is that I've had the opportunity to think about Lucas a lot more now. I feel like I've started to forgive him for that whole thing ages ago. But part of me can still not let it go. I don't think of Jayde in the same way I do Lucas. He's just a friend as far as I am concerned. I need to know what I am. Jayde knows his place in society, it's time I found mine.

I feel like all this mayhem is just the beginning..."

Jayde and I were standing outside the school entrance. I had the uniform on, I had done my hair neatly in a plait down my back and I held all of my books in one shaking arm.

"Are you sure Darcy did a good enough impression of me?" I didn't think that this would go well at all. I'd seen Darcy do impressions of me, and to be honest, spastic fitted the description perfectly. He smiled towards my comment and said,

"Why don't you ask her yourself?" He nodded towards a girl walking in. I ran towards her.

"Darcy!!!" She laughed and we hugged. "Oh my gosh I've missed you!"

"Me too. I heard what happened and I was told to pretend to be you for a week. I'm so sorry I didn't tell you-" I swiped her hat off her head and I said,

"Don't worry. I already know everything. Jayde told me." She raised her eyebrows in question, and I laughed in return. "No! Don't think that. Geez." I checked my watch, and the second I looked up, a load of people breached the gates of the front entrance to the school.

"The buses must've arrived," Darcy said, "Let's get out of the pathway," I nodded in agreement, and together, Jayde, Darcy and I walked up towards the lockers. Just as we reached the stairs, Jayde pulled me aside. Darcy stopped and I silently assured her that I would be fine. She shrugged and went up the stairs. Jayde led me over to a small area beside a classroom that's rarely used.

"Now I don't want you to take this the wrong way, but you can't approach me during school hours or when people are around." A confused look spread across my face.

"Why not?" He hesitates, clearly thinking of how much he can tell me.

"Let's just say that there may be an enemy at this school. The may even be in your class and you would never know. So, just keep an eye out. If they see you and me together, they may suspect something, and the chances are, they know that I'm an angel and they know that you have powers also. They may try and, well, 'collect' you, figuratively speaking."

"Oh, okay."  I pause and start to walk away. I turn back around at the last second and ask, "Does Athena know what you are? Is she supernatural?" He smiled.

"Yes she is supernatural, but I'll leave you to try and figure out what she is. Once again though, don't just go up to her and ask her what breed she is; you don't now who you can trust."

"So what makes you think I can trust Darcy?"

"Darcy's family has been going to this school for years. They work closely with us Angels. And we've tested to see if they have Lux or Tenebris in their blood. They are purely Lux. The whole family." A loud ringing erupts through the conversation, and students stream past, eager to get to their first classes for the day. "You better get to class." I turn around, to go back to the stairs. For that short two metres and a half that we walk next to eachother, I hear a voice from the lockers.

"Oooh, how's Jayde going Harper?" I walk up the rest of the stairs and face my accuser. Moron...

"I wouldn't know, Lucas. Considering we hardly know eachother. How's Kim going?" His jerk smile fades into a cloud of anger.

"I don't like Kim," This time, I laugh at him.

"Ha! You think you're so special, that you can go around teasing others about their friends when the second I accuse you of liking someone else, you get all grumpy." He laughs, the smirk returning.

"Well-"

"You're just a heartless jerk. Go away Lucas." I stormed off to my locker, pit-stopping to have the usual awkward conversation between myself and Flint Roche, and head off to class.

I was surprised at how normal everything seemed. But now knowing about the whole supernatural deal allowed me to see things a normal person wouldn't usually see. At first break, on the way to the tuckshop, I passed a small group of girls, about grade 7 I'm guessing, circling around one person. A girl holding a small flame in her hand. The second she saw me, she quickly squished her hand together to form a fist and the flame went out, a small trail of smoke seeping out through the gaps in between her fingers. She death stared me, so I death stared her back. Twelvies... I thought. I found it intriguing that whenever a a human walked past someone performing some supernatural magic, they wouldn't notice.

Of course, whenever I passed Lucas or his friends, they'd either shout out, "how's Jayde?" or "is Lucas a heartless jerk?". Personally, I just felt like yelling back "your mum is" whenever they said something, but thought better of it.

Maths in the fifth lesson of the day was interesting. At the end, when the bell rang, Jayde walked past and placed a small wrapped box on my desk. I picked it up and saw a sticky note stuck to the bottom of the present. It said,

Open this in private. If someone asks you where you got it, say your parents got it. Keep it with you at all times.
- Jayde

I smiled and hid it in between my side and my books. I walked straight to the bathroom, and sat down on the toilet. I started to unwrap the small box, and gasped when it's insides where revealed. An iPhone 5! I turned it on and saw it was already charged. I went into contacts to see if my details where in there, and to my surprise, saw Jayde's contact. My details were not in there however. Security measures I guess. The phone dinged and I went into messages.

Jayde: Hey, message back if you get this.

I smiled and typed back.

Harper: Yeah, im here. thx 4 the phone!! y do i need it?

It instantly beeps back.

Jayde: This is your supernatural phone. Open the camera app and look at yourself through the camera.

Confused, I open the camera app and gasp when I see myself. I'm glowing... I type back to Jayde.

Harper: wow...

Jayde: 😬

Harper: haha

Jayde: I'll leave you to experiment with the other apps. I've got to go. Darcy's parents have told your parents that you are sleeping over with Darcy every night this week. Bye.

Harper: oh, bye then

I exited the bathroom, putting away my new phone and continued with the rest of my day.
