"You're ignited
Can't fight it.

Running with fire, danger
Got us on the edge of
Who's in our power
Take me down.

Better turn them lights out out out
Turn 'em out out out
Wanna take you for myself right now now now
Right now now now
Right now now now.

Can I get a blackout!"

I woke up in my dark room in Hotel Tenebris with someone sitting on a chair in the corner of the room. I breathed quietly so the boy wouldn't know I was awake.

James? He perked his head up and walked over to my bed. He buried his face in my hair and we hugged softly. I knew I needed to tell him about Jayde and the man saying "It's you." I needed to know what that meant. Of course, I had my theories, but I needed assurance of the truth. Then there was the issue that I had agreed to meet Jayde, and for some reason, I felt like I shouldn't be seeing him. His parents killed mine. James looked me in the eye and wiped a tear that I never knew was falling down my cheek.

"James?"

"Yes?" His crystal eyes were filled with curiosity.

"Are you Lux or Tenebris?" He looked down.

"Luxenbris still."

I pondered his answer.

"Why haven't you chosen yet?"

"Because you haven't chosen yet." I was both excited that James felt that way about me and devastated that he depended on me that way.

"So, you will choose whatever I choose?" He nodded.

"But I have a theory." He stated nervously. I waited for him to answer his own question. "I think one of you have already chosen." I was surprised, but not as much as I probably should've have.

"Yeah, Shay and I are opposites. So one of us is dark and the other is light, I know how it works." He shifted on the balls of his feet and said,

"Yes, but I think one of you is still Luxenbris. One of you still have to choose." I looked him directly in the eye.

"You think I still have to choose light or dark, don't you?" He nodded.

Great, I thought, the balance must be equal. I still have to choose! If I choose dark, Jayde and Darcy are my instant enemies. If I choose light, I turn my back on my family and many of my friends. But no matter what I choose, James will always be there for me. I knew how dire the situation was, but I felt like I was in no hurry.

"One thing I do know is, that if you don't choose, your soul won't stand another split. You must choose by the next full moon. When again, we will try to get to Heaven." I nodded understandingly. "But before you go off on any massive quests for greatness-" I punched him in the arm for the sarcasm. "Ow! Anyway, breakfast first." He looked nervous slightly, as if he knew something I didn't. He helped me out of bed and we walked to the roof where we had the newfound tradition of breakfast eating at a height. We were wearing different shoes this time, but the silver leaf bracelet that he had previously given me still clung to my wrist eagerly. We had the completely healthy breakfast of Boost Juice and Danishes, even though I had no idea where James had managed to find the food. I ate it gratefully and checked my watch. It's Sunday! Geez, so much time has passed. I thought.

"Fo," I started through a mouthful of cinnamon scroll. "Whaff are we fooing foofay?" I knew that my words made no sense, and James laughed secretively but answered anyway. "Well, we are going back to school." I choked on the Danish and nearly spat it all out in surprise. After I finally swallowed it, I asked,
