A/N well...I was saving this for nearer Christmas but meh here you go guys.

Cas came running out once he'd picked up his luggage from the conveyor belt and slung his bag over his back, in a rush between 'excuse me's and 'sorry's and too many people around.

Everything was a blur and all Castiel needed was Dean.

Once out in the open, there was the normal barrier that people could easily climb over or under to those waiting for them. The atmosphere was high with happiness and seasonal greetings fuelling Cas' high spirits. It was perfect, resembling everything good in this world, hope and reunited relaxedness about it.

It was Christmas, and even if it wasn't celebrated by all, Cas saw it as a laid back period. While running about he saw fathers reunited with sons, best friends hugging and couples back together again.

Who Cas was looking for was a weird relationship combination of them all.

He and Dean had raised each other practically and escaped two violent homes, brought up each other, became best friends and, over the decade, there was something more. Like the way Dean looked at him when they talked, his heart pouring from those green eyes or small touches. Cas' heart fluttered if they ever hugged or Dean fell asleep on him.

Lost in thought had Cas forgetting what he was doing; but then his eye caught a sign, held by a tall man, with the word 'Nerd' on it in bold.

Aha, Cas thought, that must be Dean.

Cas jogged over and saw green, smiling eyes peak over the top before the sign was dropped and Cas ran into Dean. He flung his arms tight around him in a huge embrace and got as close as humanly possible. Their heads slotted together and Cas buried his slightly bleary eyes in Dean's neck.

"Hey, Cas," Dean's rough voice was muffled in Castiel's trench coat.

"Nerd? Really, Dean?" Cas wiped his eyes and pulled away, nothing unable to stop his smile from beaming.

"Yeah. You're a nerd," Dean chuckled and half shrugged with open arms.

Then they did this curious little thing that Cas couldn't quite wrap his head around. Dean was just gazing at him with soft eyes that were bright and kind. It made Cas loose his breath sometimes. He loved it when it happened but he always managed to say something stupid. "...I-I missed you."

Dean smirked and Cas immediately regretted giving Dean that ego boost. "I didn't," he teased.

"I hate you," Cas grumbled back and chucked his bag in Dean's face for him to catch, ducking under the tape. It just bought them closer.

"No you don't." Cas rolled his eyes. He also noticed Dean looking down at his lips briefly. "Alright, let's get your ass back home and you can tell me all about your week with Gabriel."

"...but you should've seen the look on his face! The girl was just swinging around in front of him and he looked like he'd just won big time, I'm telling you Dean," Cas finished, hands coming to rest on his thighs.

Once Dean had stopped chuckling at the story he shuffled back on the couch where they were sitting and threw a piece of popcorn up in the air, catching it with his mouth.

In the background there was the slightly metallic sound of their radio blaring out Christmas songs and the host talking about random festive topics, sharing them to the State. His voice was quite boring though, and definitely worth blocking out if it meant Dean could listen to Cas forever.
