"Dean, baby, I'm home!" Cas called out to their shared apartment.

Normally they'd have the other sharers with them, since they could barely afford a place by themselves, Jo and Charlie. The two girls decided they'd spend the weeks of Christmas break from college in Charlie's childhood home. Dean and Castiel did have the offer to join but declined, deciding Christmas together would be perfect.

"Hey, Cas. Cold out?" Dean popped his head around from the kitchen and looked his boyfriend up and down with a smirk.

"Very," Cas' low and harsh voice was even more so than usual, which, god damn it, should not be turning Dean on right then. Cas wiped his feet and took in a deep breath of the air. "Hmm...something smells good."

"Pie," confirmed Dean.

The Winchester sauntered from where the sweet smell of cinnamon and apple. Their entrance rooms connected openly to their dining table and living space on the other side where the four of them spent nights marathoning Netflix. Behind Cas was a hat stand, which Cas placed his beanie on top on.

"You're beautiful when you're flushed," Dean teased, pushing Cas' wind swept hair back and pecking his lips, feeling the lips piercing cold and hard.

Cas hummed and began taking his fingerless gloves off, shoving them in his new black jacket they brought last weekend together. Dean meanwhile was untucking his boyfriends scarf, hanging it up and letting his fingers trace it down with loving hands.

"We've got to rake the leaves before it starts snowing, which according to you is sometime tonight," Dean remembered suddenly as he looked outside.

"Fine. After coffee, we'll be warmed up then."

Dean wiped the disobeying black eyeliner under Castiel's eye, rubbing it on his jeans.

They settled on the couch, wrapped in blankets and exchanging warm kisses with warm coffee and cocoa in mugs. Snuggling up, they began to watch Orange is the new Black ("Dean, is this what they mean by 'Netflix and chill'?" "That's...that's not what it means, Cas."). Under layers and layers of sheets and pillows, they touched cold feet and cold fingers, sharing each others body warmth. Cas ruined the moment by saying, "this is how penguins share warmth."

Cas looked to the side and smiled, stroking his fingers along Dean's smooth skin of his thigh. He kept trailing up and down; it was getting rather unbearable on Dean's part not to be aroused by this motion.

"Cas, lay it off, or we're not going to able to even get out the house," Dean smiled with a hint of apology resting on his tired face.

"Sorry, Dean." Did Dean detect a bit of actual seriousness in that tone? Or was it just his mind playing tricks on him?

"It's fine, Cas. Really..." Dean sighed. Then he pulled Cas' hand back in his, holding it to warm it up, "actually, we could just get it over with now and you can continue whatever the hell magic spell you were working on me there, baby?" Smooth talk was something Dean never considered a strong point of his particularly. But right then? Well, it'd never been easier.

"Deal."

Outside was getting much colder, the damp and musty air was bitter but was on the way was winter - a break from stress, even for a little while. It was like an end goal for each semester, and then to enjoy each other. That's how Dean envisioned it. He hoped Cas would too.
