“Kian ..." I whispered in his ear. It was about eleven and I was wide awake. I lay against his shoulder and he turned his face to me and slowly opened his eyes.
"Good morning, babe." He said and kissed me.
"Are you ready for the barbecue tonight?" I asked then.
"Yes, but you need to talk to Jc before." He said seriously. Yeah, Jc. I hadn´t talked to him in over a week. It had probably never gone so long without that we have not talked.
"Kian ... I don´t know what to say to him." I said.
"But I forgave him. Then you can also do it." He said and smiled encouragingly.
"Okay then, I will go over to him before tonight. But we can we stay here for just a moment?" I asked and Kian pulled my body next to him and we smiled without saying a word.
Kian had just driven me home and I would just switch clothes before I was going over to Jc. I had texted him and asked if I could come by at about three, he had just answered a simple yes. Kian had been trying to get me in a better mood but didn’t quite succeed. I went in and took a quick shower and then took on a pair of shorts and a simple red t-shirt. Quickly, I took something to eat and then I said goodbye and went on my bike. I was nervous and just wanted to return home. But on the other hand, I missed Jc and I didn´t want to fight with him. But because he had such feelings for me that was not mutual, it became very difficult. When I arrived at his street I felt a knot in my stomach. But I put the bike in his driveway and then rang on the doorbell. After a few seconds, he opened and smiled a bit when he let me in. We went out to the garden and sat down in the grass.
"So ..." I started to break the silence. We looked at each other and smiled.Horror
"I miss you, Jess." He said.
"I've missed you too. I don´t wanna fight anymore." I said.
"Me neither." He said and moved closer to me.
"But Jc ... you know I don´t have those feelings for you. Okay? You cannot keep doing it." I said.
"Can you stop being so wonderful then?" He looked at me seriously. I looked down at the ground and blushed.
"Stop it..." I said.
"But it's true. But I'd rather have you as a friend Jess. So, friends again?" He stretched out his hand towards me and smiled. I shook it and smiled back.
"Can we go back to how it was before?" I asked.
"Yes. But you should know that I still think of you in a special way. But I´ll try to put the feelings behind me. Kian is my bro." He said and grinned.
"Thanks Jc." I said. I had missed him so much.
We had been in the garden and talked for a few hours. There was so much we had missed. I wasn´t sure if it would be as before, but I really hoped it would.
"Jc, you are sure that it won´t happen anything between us again?" I asked. He scratched his neck and took a deep breath.
"It will be hard, because I really like you a lot, but I value my friendship with Kian and you more. So I will try to move on.” He said but I didn´t really believe him.
"I like you so much Jc, you know that. But you also know that I love Kian. I don´t know what to say..."
"I know, sorry Jess, I'll stop. Friends?" He asked, stretching out his hand towards me. I took his hand and shook it.
"Friends."
Jc and I was on our way to Ricardo's house, I was on my bike and he went next to me on his longboard. We were supposed to be there in ten minutes and I assumed that everyone was on the way now. I wasn´t quite sure how it was going to be tonight, or how it would be with Jc and me, but right now I didn´t want to think about it. When we arrived it was two cars outside and I realized that we were not the first one to arrive. We rang on the doorbell and Ricardo opened.
