Chap 20 : Cries

Sydney's P.O.V.

What i saw shattered me. I was so broken. Tears kept rushing down my face. I was trying to be strong but i couldn't every time i close my eyes, images of him and her comes back. Even when i keep reminding myself that he is not worth it. He is just some stupid guy. Even that didn't work. I kept crying and crying. Suddenly Steph appeared.

"What happened to you? Why are you even crying? Did Cynthia did something to you? If yes then i am going to give her a peace of my mind? Or is it bad news? Is your family okay? Or is it Brawdon? ..."

She kept babbling and asking questions and she was getting angrier and angrier.

"Steph. Steph. Calm down okay. I will tell you everything but can you please get me home first. I can't think i can endure today. Can you do that for me?" I said my voice cracking from all the crying and sobbing. I couldn't stop. It was to difficult and painful.

"Of course. Come on let's get you fixed."

"I only need you to drive me home. You don't have to miss a day of school because of me."

"Are you kidding me women. My best friend is crying her eyes out, sobbing even more and the only thing you think about is me missing a day of school. Are you out of your mind?" Her voice was rising a bit and she was attracting crowd to us.

"Fine fine. Stop shouting at me. Let's go."

Steph drove us to my house. I saw my mother's car their which means that she doesn't have work. I was hoping that she wouldn't ask me about my state or why am I home early. We enter and my mom saw us directly.

"Hey mom." I said in a low voice.

She oppened her mouth to say something but when she saw me and saw the state i was into she directly shut her mouth.

"Steph that you for taking my daughter with you." My mom said.

" And Sydney we will talk about this later okay?" She asked softly. My mother knew that I don't want to talk about it now.

" Okay." I replied in a low voice. Steph helped me out to my room. She sat me gently while I continued crying.

When I managed to calm myself down Steph asked:

"Will you know please tell me what happened? "

"When I was going to lunch, I opened my locker to put my books inside and found a note that told me to go to room 301. I didn't know why but I went there and now I wish that I never did. Okay so after I went there the tables were broken and there was a little light. I found no one there so I was making my way towards the door when it opened. My instincts told me to hide. Then I heard footsteps after I hid under to teacher's table. When the person started to talk I recognized their voices. It was Cynthia and Brawdon. I was so confused to why they were here? Was it a coincidence or something? Then Cynthia started to ask about some plan and if everything is fine and smoothly and Brawdon said yes and I was watching everything. Brawdon can't see me cause his back was facing me. Then when I fought that I should go out of my hiding spot but something inside me told me to listen to this so I did. You know why Brawdon didn't picked me up this morning it's because he was with Cynthia. They talked this morning and I don't what they were talking about. Then suddenly Cynthia kisses Brawdon so I stay rotten to my spot with tears filling my eyes. The thing that hurts he didn't push her away and that hurts so much. You know what! I started to believe in love and fairy tales and then this happens. " I started crying harder than before Steph quickly came to my side and pulled me toward her and hugged tight.

" It's gonna be okay Sydney don't worry. It will be alright I promise. "Steph kept repeating softly and hugging me tight till I drifted to sleep.

Stephanie ' s P.O.V.

I am very sad for Sydney I don't know why Cynthia did this to her. But I feel like there is something very odd in Sydney's story. I think this is not a simple coincidence but when she wakes up I will talk to her.

After about an hour Sydney finally woke up.

" Sydney how are you feeling now ?? " I asked I need to be make her feel better about herself. I don't want her to be torn. She was their for me when I needed her the most we supported each other through everything and it's time for me to be there for her.

" I'm better." Her voice was barley oibble.

" I have some questions to ask you. Okay? "She nodded.
" Do you think that it was some coincidence that there was a note in your locker and that Cynthia came talking with Brawdon in the same room as your in all the empty rooms in the school. And that somehow Brawdon's back was facing not Cynthia's? "

"So are you saying what I think you're saying? "

"If by that you mean that maybe Cynthia was the one that planned everything out then yes that what I'm thinking. "

"Then maybe Brawdon was innocent. "

I saw a light of hope in her eyes as she said that. I was going ti talk when we heard the door bell ring and then there was a nock on Sydney's door.

" Enter." She yelled.

The person that entered was Brawdon.

"I didn't see you at school so I came to see you here."

I saw that Sydney became serious. She was going to ask questions and she is about to be getting some answers whether Brawdon likes it or not. I know this Sydney very much.

"Where and with who were you in the morning so you couldn't pick me up?"
