Chap 21 : Truth or Lies

Brawdon's P.O.V.

Cynthia excused herself and let Sydney and I alone in her room.

When I realised what she asked me. Sydney's tricked me. Should I tell her the truth or lie to her? She hate lying and if i tell her the truth she will hat eme more. In both cases I will loose. The I noticed her eyes are red was she crying ?? Why was she crying?? Did something happened to her??

She was waiting for me to reply so I decided to go with the truth not the hole truth but part of it. Maybe she will understand? ? At least I was hoping she will.

" So?.." she asked impatient. I know this face of Sydney she will be asking questions and demanding answers. I guess I'm not going off the hook easily this time.
"Well..."

Sydney's P.O.V.

I was asking questions and demanding answers. He don't know that I heard his conversation or that I was there when he kissed Cynthia so I want to find out if he lied to me or if he was telling me the truth. If he lied he is gonna hear a peace of my mind but of he told me the truth he might be forgiven.

Keyword : might.

I wanted to hear why he didn't push her away or something. Was it too difficult? ? Did he enjoyed it??

"Well I was with Cynthia this morning. "

I am relived that he told me the truth and didn't lie to my face.

"What did you do with Cynthia ?"

Brawdon's P.O.V.

I can't tell her the truth this time. So I have to go with any logical lie. Okay let's think of something.
1- We have the same class together so she was asking me about the homework.
No cause she can ask her about it and find out that I lied.

2-We got partnered up in a class so we were discussing about the assignment.
No, if you two don't share a class together who are you two partnered up genius.

Oh shup up mind you don't always have to be right.

I guess that's a no then.

It's getting harder and harder to come up woth lies. In the end I will drown in a sea of lies.

Then an idea came to my head.

"She was asking me to help her with some studies."

Sydney's P.O.V.

He was thinking for quite a long time maybe debating whether or not he should tell me the truth. After some time he spoke

"She was asking me to help her with some studies. "

That was a logical explanation but that can't explain why she kissed him. Maybe it is a habit for her to kiss her tutor or something? Let's continue with the questions cause he is not getting of this easily.

" Okay. Did something happened between you two? "

Brawdon's P.O.V.

Now that question caught me off guard. She was suspecting something. Or maybe she knew something but what? I have to be cery careful with my answer. Or maybe I can approach her in a different way. Find out what she knows and then tell my version. If you consider it, it could work actually but like I said I have to choose my words carefully. I have to get the words out of her. Sydney is very intelligent and clever.

"Nothing happened why are you asking? I told you I am helping Cynthia" I told her and from her reaction I know those are the wrong word to use.
