"Okay. Well, I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go to a party later on tonight? We were going to have a party anyways, but now we have even more of a reason to celebrate, seeing as Slytherin lost to Hufflepuff. Just about everyone will be there, depending. Well everyone except Slytherin, that is. " Seamus says quickly, almost stumbling against his words, his face was clearly flushed. And, for the first time in a long time, he looked a little nervous...? Or was it just my imagination just running wild?

My brain was pushing me to respond, but it was hard to think at the moment. Reply! Say at least something to let him know that you are alive. You are alive, aren't you, Emma? Just say something, it won't kill you. Not like Seamus bites. Oh, ha-ha. Very funny. I said the first thing to came to mind at the moment-unfortunately it wasn't as graceful as I had hoped, or imagined. It was something though, and for that, I could be happy.

"Oh, um, okay. Wait, when, and where is this party?" I ask, half smiling, and the other half of me struggling not to jump up and yell, "Yippee!"

See what I was going through at the current moment? Seamus invited me, to a party! Usually I don't really do parties, not my style, I guess that you could say, but if Seamus was there, then hell yeah I was going to come as well! I would be crazy not to go. Even though I was usually shy, I wasn't that shy around Seamus. I felt more comfortable around him than some of my other friends. Too bad he didn't know my true feelings. Too bad that He probably never will either. On the happier note, my mind was still screaming with happiness. Seeing Seamus smile like he did at that moment just made the day even better.

Seamus smiled even bigger than before. "Great, good. It's tonight, Gryffindor Common Room at around eight, I think. So, can I count upon seeing you there too?"

This time around, I couldn't help jumping up in happiness. "Yes!" I announce, a little loudly, might I add. A couple people glanced over at us, curious of what was going on, but we ignored them. I was in my own little world, it was better than reality here.

"Yes." I repeat once more, and this time more calm than before. Time to rewind, and relax.

"Only if you promise to be there. Which I can surely count on." I comment, noticing that a lot of people had left, and were on their way to leave.

"That can be arranged...Trust me.."Seamus replied with an easy smile. "Can't wait to see you there. For now, I'm afraid that I must go, I bid thee farewell. -I'll be counting the seconds until I see you again though."

I giggled, "I must go too. Counting seconds, are we now? That will take a while. A big number, are you sure that you can even count that high yet?" I tease lightly, getting up from where I was sitting in the crowd. Seamus and I were the only one's still here, besides Harry, Nicole, and a few other people from other houses. Maybe I could go and find Ron, or Hermione, someone, and just hang out with them until the party later tonight. Either that, or I would also have to start counting the seconds until I saw Seamus again.

Seamus rolled his eyes, "Well, for your information, yes, I can count that high. The question replaying on my mind at the moment-can you count that high?" Even though he rolled his eyes, I could tell that he meant well. Just joking around, nothing too serious.

"Is that a challenge?" I raise an eyebrow slightly. Seamus laughed, "Only if you want it to be. You are, after all, a lady, and I should respect your wishes."

"I think that you're just saying that to make me blush." I mumble, and it was working. I was blushing.

"Eh, I might be. I'll just leave that up to you, my lady. I really must bid thee farewell." Seamus says, pulling me into a quick hug before he left me standing there, gaping after him. Let's just say that I really was counting the seconds until I saw him again.

"Hey, what are you doing there, sis? Aren't you supposed to be hanging out with your friends by now?"

Cedric! "Hey!" I nearly shout, pulling my older brother into a hug. "Congrats on that victory. The look on Malfoy's face-priceless." My day was already going well, seeing Cedric just made it better.

"Haha, yeah. I know right." Cedric grinned from ear to ear, "Anything new? There's got to be something. I can always tell, you're easy to read, being my younger sister." Eh, there he goes on again. Pointing out for the ninth time that he was older. At least I was younger, I still had a ways to go yet before I left Hogwarts, while this was Cedric's last year here.

I rolled my eyes playfully, "Yeah, yeah. You can read me like an open book. Anyways, there is a party tonight-at eight-in the Gryffindor Common Room. And I am surely coming, do you want to go too as well? Maybe you can invite Cho Chang to go with you, I'm sure that she will say yes." It was just plain common knowledge that Cho liked Cedric, and that he even liked her back. I just really wished that Seamus liked me back, well, the same way that I liked him, you know.

Cedric rolled his eyes this time, "Eh, sure, whatever. It sounds really fun, and with Cho Chang there-it will be even better. She is after all, my girlfriend." He winks ever so slyly at me.

"Girlfriend? You mean, she said yes?" She said yes! Now I was the only one in the family not in a relationship. Lovely me, eh? Oh well, I only had my sights set on one guy. But I couldn't keep on waiting forever. The truth of that fact was pretty harsh if you ask me.

Cedric could barely contain the huge grin on his face, "Well, that would be the point, you see, young Emma Diggory. You still have so much to learn."Oh, ha-ha, very funny, Cedric.

"I'm only a year younger than you-so don't you pull stunt that with me, mister oh-so wise old one." I retorted, unable to keep a silly smirk off of my face. It might have looked like we were fighting, bickering, whatever word that you would like to use, but in reality, we were just fooling around. Doing what siblings do to each other.

"If I am only a year older than you, then I am not that old, am I?" Cedric pushes me softly, as if returning a blow.

"Same thing goes to me, being a year younger." Oh, I was good. He was stuck now. Apparently even he has some things to learn still. Even with him being older than I. Not like I couldn't say that I still needed to learn things, but still.

"You got me there, Emmy." He comments, admitting defeat, and using his pet name for me. He's called me that since I could remember. I used to hate it, but by now I was used to it.

"Blimey, it's getting cold out here, Emmy. Wanna go back inside the castle?"

I nodded as I started walking in the direction of the castle. It was getting colder, which was kind of weird, but the weather seemed to always be acting weird. We were in England, after all. Cedric stepped right beside me, staring at the path ahead of us, not saying anything. Our fun, for the moment, was over.

I had a strange feeling that something was going to happen tonight at this party-whether it was good, or bad, we would find that out later.
