Emma, I need your opinion on something that's been bugging me for a while...I don't think you're going to like it too much, but things aren't working as well as they used too. We're starting to separate more and I don't know what to do." Cedric announces as soon as he sees me, nearly pinning me to the wall.

"Whoa, there, where's the fire? I barely have any room. Let's go talk somewhere more private instead of here so people won't be able to pry into your personal business as much..." I replied, laughing a little. Cedric sighed, looking a little nervous, but he nods, leading me into his common room. Only a few people still lingered, although most were at the dinner downstairs.

He led me into a quiet corner, and sat down on a chair, motioning for me to sit next to him. "I was thinking...Maybe...Should I break up with Cho?" He asks me, his eyes were a little sad, but curious. It most defiantly wasn't what I was expecting, but then again, I wasn't even sure what I was expecting. I thought they were happy with each other, but if he was asking me this it must not be. Now as I thought about it, it kind of made sense.

"Well. What problems are you experiencing?" I ask, the question felt a little silly. Especially when I was prying into his business. I wanted to help. How could I if I didn't know anything?

Cedric blushed a little, "It seems she doesn't seem as interested. People even say they see her flirting with other guys. And there's supposedly a dance coming up and I asked her to it, but she didn't exactly say yes. She didn't say no either. She said she was going to think about it. And it's almost like she's a different person..."

"I would say just to talk about it. Or at least take a break, date other people..." I whispered, biting my lip thoughtfully.

"That was what I was thinking to do, but I wanted a second opinion. Thanks, Emmy," He grinned, "And who are you planning on taking to the dance?"

"I didn't even know there was a dance until now," I admitted, blushing a bit. Cedric grinned at me, winking, "Though I know who you will be going with, right?"

"If you mean Seamus, then yes, you are correct." I grinned at my brother. We spent the rest of the time talking about random things until Cedric had quidditch practice.

Later that day, Seamus and I were hanging around the Gryffindor Common Room, just chatting. I was happy, "Hey, Seamus. Did you know there's another dance coming up?" I asked, attempting to sound nonchalant and cool.

"The Valentine's Day Dance? Why, yes I did. And I was going to wait for the perfect moment to ask you, but since you brought it up..." Seamus's voice wavered off a bit. He grinned at me, blushing a little. "Would you, Emma Diggory, like to attend this dance with me?"

I nodded, "Why, I thought you'd never ask!" I joke, he pulled me up, and we started to dance (badly) in the common room. That all stopped when Elizabeth entered. Seamus and I stopped, clearly, he was embarrassed. I rolled my eyes.

"Hey," Elizabeth says, sitting down on a couch. It was like she owned the room. Her self confidence was almost over bearing. I was sick of her already. She really made me angry, if I would, I...Okay, I am not sure what I would do, but you can catch my point. Seamus was still staring at her when I looked over at him.

"Hey," I replied, smiling sweetly as could. Seamus sat down, and I sat down next to him. To my credit, Seamus wrapped an arm around me protectively. Take that, Elizabeth!

Elizabeth sighed, seeing this, but smirked, "And how are the two love birds? As perfect as two birds in a pear tree?" She asks, but she wasn't exactly expecting an answer. That much I could tell. Seamus and I were back together, why couldn't she just leave him alone? Although a part of me still missed Draco. Draco would understand, right?

Seamus started blushing, "We're fine, thanks." His response kind of sounded more like a question than an actual reply, though. As if he wasn't sure whether or not she was being sarcastic. Sadly, I kind of wondered that myself.

She smiled, "I wish I had a boyfriend," she says dreamily. She winked over at the two of us, though I knew it was mostly directed at Seamus. Elizabeth really knew how to annoy a person. Luckily, just then, a group of Gryffindors walked in, breaking the tension. Saved. For now.
