Luckily, the rest of the week flew by pretty quickly. So we were finally able to have a break. Plus, this weekend was a Hogsmeade weekend. I was planning on hanging out with Seamus and Cedric mostly. Nicole and Harry were going to hang out and spend the day together and who knew what Hermione and Ron were doing.

“Be back by 6 o’ clock!” Professor McGonagall reminds us. “If not, expect detention and a 50 point reduction.” Her sharp gaze made the 3rd years shift, looking slightly nervous but everyone above their 3rd year was well used to McGonagall by now.

“Ready to go?” Cedric asks me, grinning. There was a twinkle in my brother’s eyes meaning that he was probably up to something. Who knew what that could be? He was in a particularly good mood. Cho and he were now more on speaking terms and I knew he still liked her. Plus he and Luna were now good friends.

“Yes.” I replied, and glanced over at Seamus. “How about you?” This would be my first time at Hogsmeade in a few months and I really needed this day to forget my troubles, relax and actually have some real fun.

Seamus looks over at me, “Ready when you are. So, I’m ready.” My heart pumped slightly faster in excitement.

We started the walk to Hogsmeade. Seamus’s hand found my own hand; Cedric winked at us but didn’t say anything. The days were getting warmer and warmer as summer approached. This year had certainly been an eventful one.

“So where are we going first?” I asked the two as we entered the village. People started heading to their favorite shops in groups of two, three and four. I spotted a group of Gryffindors and saw that Elizabeth was one of them. She stared openly at Seamus and I. Grimacing; I ignored her and focused my attention elsewhere.

“Dunno. Ladies choice.” Seamus grinned, “So, where would you like to go?”

“Hmmm…How about Honeydukes? I am in the mood to get some Chocolate Frogs and Licorice Wands.” Cedric laughed, “Honeydukes it is.”

We made our way over to the store, taking our time to get our sweets. Seamus got me a box of chocolates, which I reluctantly accepted and I shared some of my candy with him. Cedric got himself some Bertie Bott’s every Flavor Beans.

“I was thinking tonight me and my mates would have some dares with this,” He says, looking at my expression. I swore when I was younger never to eat one of those beans again once I got a mystery meat flavored one. Cedric always tried to get me to eat one, and almost succeeded many times before I realized what it was.

“Sure.” I say, my hands on my hips, attempting to keep from giggling. We headed to a few more shops including Zonko’s Joke Shop and Spintwitches, a sporting shop. Cedric bought himself a shirt advertising the Chudley Cannons.

“Hey,” A voice says from behind us. Cho Chang stood not too far behind us, the ghost of a smile etched on her face. Cedric glances at me then at Seamus, biting his lip.

“Go.” I muttered, shooing him. “Leave now and never return.”

“Thanks.” He mouths and he and Cho made their way over to a table at Madam Puddifoot’s Tea Shop.

“Well I guess we can’t go there now,” Seamus jokes, stuffing a hand in his pocket, “but now where will we be going, Miss Diggory?”

I shrugged, “Where would you like to go?”

It was about three in the afternoon now. We only had a few more hours until we had to head back to Hogwarts, so unless we wanted to head back early, we still had some time to kill. I waited as Seamus thought.

“Hmmm…well, perhaps we could always stop by the Three Broomsticks?” He asks, taking my arm in his.

“Hmmm…Sounds like a perfectly good plan to me.” I reply. A butterbeer sounded perfect; just the sort of thing to help you unwind.

The clock chimed. It was nearly midnight. Before I could stop myself, I yawned. It had been a long and eventful day, even though it had been a fun eventful day.

“Tired?” Seamus smirks, and then yawns himself. “Ack. This yawning thing is contagious, I swear.”

Giggling, I stood up. “Might as well go to bed. Thanks, Seamus, for today.” I whispered, kissing him. To be honest, today was the most fun I’ve had in weeks! Sad, isn’t it?

“The pleasure’s all mine,” He grinned, squeezing my hand before he headed into his dorm. I headed back in mine. Hermione put down her book and Nicole looked up.

Hermione sighed, “You’ll never guess who I ran into today…Cormac. Ugh. He’s so full of himself. And he said Ron and I shouldn’t be together. The nerve of him…I mean…Ron’s not half bad.” She blushed at this last part while Nicole and I burst out laughing.

“Well someone did say opposites attract.” Nicole mutters, laying her head down on her pillow.

We all talked for a while about random things, but mostly about summer. Nicole, Hermione and I were all going to spend a week with the Weasleys more than most likely. After a while, our talking died down and we decided to get some sleep.
