"Love, it is time to wake up."

I slowly opened my eyes to see Sebastian gently shaking me.

I suddenly remembered the ball and shot straight up from bed.

"Love, are you alright?" Sebastian asked.

"The ball! What time is it?" I asked excitedly.

He chuckled and pulled out his pocket watch.

"It is five p.m. love. You have plenty of time to prepare yourself."

I quickly got out of bed and headed for the door.

"Where are you going my dear?" He asked.

I grabbed his wrist and pulled him with me.

"We have to prepare the manor."

"I have taken care of it love. No need to worry." He said while pulling me back.

"Why did you not wake me?" I asked, feeling a little guilty.

He placed a soft kiss on the top of my hand.

"You looked so peaceful, I did not want to ruin it my dear." He said in a soft tone.

He placed a loving hand on my cheek, I melted into his touch.

"Sebastian I lo-" I was cut off by a loud bang.

Sebastian and I looked at each other and stood up. We left the room and rushed to find Ciel.

When we reached his study, he was gone.

I ran to the window and heard crunching beneath my feet. I looked down to see shards of window crumble under my shoes.

I fearfully returned my attention to the curtain and pulled it back, revealing my suspicions to be correct. The window was completely shattered and Ciel was gone.

I turned to find Sebastian in shock, clutching a letter.

I walked towards him and waved my hand in front of his face.

"Sebastian? What is it?" I asked.

He slowly handed me the small piece of white paper.

I began to read the letter.

"Sebastian and Eva, I would like to formally thank you for miserably attempting to end me. What you do not know is that you both have failed. I am alive and I have your beloved master. If you wish to receive him back alive and well, I suggest you do as I say. My first order is for the two of you to meet with me at the Trancy manor tonight at eleven p.m. sharp, with Anna. We will discuss my next orders when we meet.

Do not try anything for I have planned around any possible capture you have thought of. The manor is alarmed with traps of every kind imaginable. I expect to see the three of you there.

-Claude."

When I was finished reading the letter, I let it slip from my hands and fall to the ground.
