The room became silent and the normal temperature from before had returned.

I so very much wanted to open my eyes, but fear penalized me from doing so.

Light footsteps slowly stalked my way and stopped about a foot or so away. The cold sensation of an icy hand made its way along my cheekbone.

"Love." A deep voice whispered.
"Are you alright?"

I slowly nodded my head, unsure of the question. I took a deep breath and slowly let it out.

"Yes, I believe I am alright." I whispered in return.

He took a few steps closer. An icy hand reached down for my own, which I gladly accepted.

He pulled me up into his arms. His chest vibrated with a chuckle.

"You can open your eyes now dear."

I chuckled as well, not even noticing my eyes were closed.

I slowly opened my eyes to a very handsome sight, and then I noticed the room.

There was not even one drop of blood or one speck of hair on the floor. Sebastian must've cleaned the mess, he never seizes to amaze me.

I looked back to my handsome companion.

"Thank you, Seb-" I was cut off by a quiet moan.

I looked above Sebastian's head and around his shoulder, and then I remembered.

"Ciel!" I shouted.

I turned around and ran to his side. I looked down at his pale face and watched as he opened his eyes.

"E-Eva?" He whispered.

I caressed his chilled face.

"It's me, Ciel. It's Eva." I whispered.

He slowly began to sit up, I placed a hand between his shoulder blades for support.

He rubbed his eyes and looked around the room. He scooted closer to me as if he sensed danger.

"Wh-where's Claude?" He asked quietly.

I shot a glance towards Sebastian.

"It's alright Ciel, Claude is gone. He can harm you no longer. You are safe now."

Ciel wrapped his arms around my neck. This was unusual for him, he was usually bold and independent, but the inner child in him slowly crept out.

"Thank you Eva, thank you for saving me." He said as he buried his head in my shoulder.

I gently stroked his hair and spoke in a calming tone.

"I am sorry we let this happen." I said as a single tear threatened to escape my eyes.

"It's my fault Ciel. If I wouldn't have fainted, if I would've been watching you. This would have never occurred." I said with a hint of pity.

Ciel pulled away and looked into my eyes.

"It is not your fault. You are an astounding guardian. Things like this happen, you can not possibly be by my side every second. You have a life to live too." He said, quickly maturing. There's the Ciel I know.

He stood up and reached a hand out to me. I grabbed his small hand and stood up.

Sebastian placed a delicate hand on his chest and bowed.

"I am very glad to see you unharmed my Lord. My apologies for this." Sebastian said.

Ciel waved his hand at Sebastian.

"It is quite alright I suppose. I imagine anything of these sorts will not occur again in time." He replied.

"Besides, something outstanding did come out of this." I furrowed my brows and exchanged a glance with Sebastian, who shared the same expression.

Ciel walked towards a large door and slowly opened it.

A small girl ran out from the room and wrapped her arms around Ciels waist.

"Ciel, are we okay?" The small girl asked in a childish tone.

Ciel nodded his head.

"Eva, Sebastian, I would like to introduce you to your daughter, Leyla."

The little girl looked up to Ciel and between Sebastian and myself. She slowly took a step towards us.

Sebastian and I slowly crouched down to her height.

"H-hello Leyla. My name is Eva, and this is Sebastian." I said calmly.

Leyla took a few more steps to our direction and stopped and turned back to Ciel.

Ciel looked at the child and smiled. "It's alright Leyla."

She nodded and returned her attention towards us.

"My, what lovely eyes you have Leyla. They sparkle like a thousand rubies." Sebastian said gently.

I took this moment to look at her beautiful features that favored the two of us quite well. Her hair was a unique shade of silver, a lot like mine had been. Her long eyelashes, that she clearly got from Sebastian, curtained her round eyes that were scarlet and full of life. Her limbs were short and her frame was petite, she received those traits from me.

Leyla grabbed her arm and stared between the two of us.

"Ar-are you my mommy and daddy?" She asked in a precious tone while clinging to a small plush bear, made by no other than the Funtom toy company.

I looked to Sebastian, receiving a nod.

I look down at the beautiful little girl and smiled.

"Yes, we are Leyla. We're your parents." I said.

She exchanged glances with Ciel, who nodded. She turned back around and dropped her bear. Her heels rose off of the ground and she flew into our arms.

Sebastian and I wrapped our arms tightly around the shilouette of our daughter. Her sent smelled of mint and lilac and her hair was softer than the finest silk.

She pulled away and looked into our eyes.

"I love you mommy and daddy. Very very much." Leyla said in the sweetest most gentle voice.

Sebastian placed a delicate kiss on the apple of her soft cheeks.

"We love you, sweetheart. We promise to make everyday of your life filled with laughter and love."
