Just because I'm starting to get in the mood I'll probably write several based on Halloween. What are you dressing up as, if anything?
-
Rose looked at the calendar in her room that coincided with the time on her planet. She saw what the date was and gasped. Tomorrow was Halloween. As a child, this had been her favourite holiday, despite the cheap Halloween store costumes. As an adult, she and her friends often went to the club and danced in silly costumes. She looked at her phone and texted Keisha.
Club tomorrow?
She waited for the reply.
Definitely! I'll meet u there at 6, yeah?
Rose smiled and looked up as The Doctor knocked on her door and entered when she gave a noise of approval. "What are you smiling about?" He said playfully.
"Nothing." She replied, hiding her phone's screen with her chest. She giggled as he stepped forward and raised an eyebrow.
"Are you sure, Mrs. Tyler?" His voice made her breath catch in her throat and she swallowed to clear it.
"Take me home, I've got an idea." She replied, refusing to divulge more information.
He sighed with a pout. "Can't you tell me?"
"No, it's a surprise."
-
Later that day, Rose hadn't told The Doctor more than the fact that he would need a Halloween costume. They'd gone to the biggest one in London.
"Should we match?" She wondered aloud.
"Yes." The Doctor replied, looking at the expansive amount.
"I've got an idea!" Rose suddenly squealed. "You could be a doctor and I could be a nurse!"
The Doctor frowned and Rose pouted. "I don't know..." He said.
"Please, please, please!!!" Rose exclaimed, gripping his arm. A grin lit up his face.
"Oh, alright my Rose. It's not that bad of an idea anyway." She giggled, wondering if he meant it when he said "my Rose".
-
Thirty minutes later, they were leaving the store with bags full of items for their costumes. When they got to the TARDIS, they decided to watch a scary movie and prepare for the day after. Rose found herself often hiding her face in his chest for protection from the monsters. She wasn't really scared of them, not after all they'd seen, she just liked how The Doctor smelled.
Rose felt her excitement grow at the thought of the upcoming day. She was so excited. Neither of them knew what the other was wearing entirely, as they wanted it to be a surprise, and she couldn't wait to see what he'd picked out.
The next morning she woke up early, still buzzing with excitement. She knew her costume was a bit of a stretch, but she was tired of him not noticing her. It wasn't bad, it just showed off a little more than she normally did.
She slipped out of bed and put on the TARDIS blue short skirt, white shirt, white apron, and blue hat. She looked at herself in the mirror in approval, liking the bit of cleavage that showed. Then she applied heavy lipstick and wondered if The Doctor would even notice.
Lastly, she slipped on some heals that lifted her about three inches. They were TARDIS blue as well and looked very good on her feet.
She took one last look at herself in the mirror, then made her way to the console room. The Doctor was already there, casually reading a book in the seats.
"Good morning, Rose." He called out, not looking up at first. He did, however, when he heard her feet clicking along. His jaw dropped visibly and Rose wondered if she'd actually seen it. He swallowed and a noise came out of his mouth as if he was trying to form words, but couldn't. Then he sorted himself and said, "You look amazing."
She smiled. "Thank you, Doctor. Now stand up so I can see yours."
He stood and Rose saw he'd refused to take off the suit, but he did have a white jacket like they did in hospitals. He also had his specs on from reading and he had a stethoscope hanging from his pocket. "Now I feel a little underdressed." He said with a laugh.
"No, you look great, Doctor." He smiled at her.
-
Rose planned the whole day out, and they had lots of fun at different activities all around London. Then came six o'clock.
"Here comes your surprise, Doctor."
-
An hour later, they were in the club. The Doctor stood awkwardly off to the side, unsure of what to do but keeping a keen eye on Rose. She swayed and laughed with her friends. Unbeknownst to him, her surprise was not the club whatsoever. It was what she was about to come do. All he knew was that she'd split from her friends and come over to him. He smiled at her and said over the loud music, "Hi Rose."
She smiled back and came right up to him. "You know, Doctor," the music in the club cut off as the song ended. "I've always wanted to do this." Then she kissed him.
She expected surprise and for him to push her away, but instead he kissed her back with more ferocity. Her hands found their way to his hair and his held her hips close.
When they finally pulled apart, The Doctor grinned at her. "I've always wanted that, too. I love you, Rose."
"I love you too, Doctor."
