Rose grinned down at the small child and wondered how it was even possible to love something so much. Lily's little feet made thumping noises and she ran into her mother's arms, making a squeal of join when her mother spun her around.

The Doctor smiled as he watched from the doorway as his love and child played together. He couldn't remember another time he'd been so happy in his life. Sure, he'd had children before, but that was an arranged marriage with no solid feelings to it. With Rose, he'd been head over heels in love.

He'd zoned out thinking about how happy he was that he didn't notice the little girl trampling towards him until she exclaimed, "Daddy!"

He grabbed her under her arms and swung her to his hip with a laugh. "Hello, princess. How did you sleep?"

Lily giggled at him and said a sloppy, "Good."

Rose watched with a smile on her face, amazed at how life has turned out. There had been a time where Rose and The Doctor were unsure of one another and how they felt, but now they were very comfortable and had advanced immensely.

Lily's birthday was coming up, her second birthday. Her mother and father were very proud of her and were nearly as excited as she.

Music was playing on the corner and a slow song came on. The Doctor started rocking his daughter to the beat and she smiled at him.

"I love you, daddy." Her words were those of a beginner speaker and unpracticed, but sincere.

"I love you too, princess."
