Rose had never felt such a feeling which was so grand. It had wrapped around her very core and threatened to burst out of her chest at any moment when she was with him.

She was tucked against the Doctor's side. They did it under the pretense that the cold night air could get to her up there, but she felt it was something more. If only he felt the same...

She looked down out of their seats on the Farris wheel to the alien fair bellow. Her fear of heights kicked in and she quickly closed her eyes. The Doctor pulled her closer and she leaned more into him for comfort, his arm coming around her shoulders.

It was at this moment, she knew she had fallen for him. And hard.

"Rose." His voice reverberated through her. She loved the way her name rolled off of his tongue, the way he pronounced it...

"Yeah?" She replied, her voice coming out weak.

"Open your eyes." He commanded in a gentle tone. "Look at my eyes." She opened her eyes and did as she was told. His chocolate brown eyes looked back at her and she felt a sense of warmth overtake her. "We aren't going to fall." He said.

Suddenly, their seats moved and they stopped at the top. Her breathing increased slightly, but she never shifted her focus from the Doctor.

"Now, look up. At the stars." He breathed, and she looked up at the unfamiliar constellations. It was beautiful up there. The little lights shone down on the pair and Rose felt a weird feeling, as if this was a meant to be moment. "See that?" He gestured towards a red, bright star. "That's Betelgeuse. Remember it? We've been there before. On Earth, it's in the constellation Orion. One of the most well known constellations, in fact."

"I remember." Rose replied. "I had to do a project on it in grade school. Then you took me so I could see it. It was gorgeous up close."

"And then that one." The Doctor pointed again. "Procyon. I haven't taken you yet. Maybe we can go there next. It's an amazing sight..."

Rose zoned out as the Doctor rambled, feeling her heart pound as he talked of the stars he loved. Love swelled up inside her and she fought to keep a grin off her face.

She wondered if he felt the same.

And I knew that something was brewing in the air

Rose thought back to the early days with this Doctor. At first, she hadn't liked him at all. And then, his rude, yet quirky nature grew on her. And she began to feel a spark, unlike any she'd felt before. She knew she would never feel anything like it.

But I don't fall easily, too many betrayed me

Rose had entered the situation with caution, however. She'd felt things for other men- boys, really- and they had broken her heart. Over and over.

Maybe this feeling inside me is true

Without realising it, Rose had put her head on the Doctor's shoulder. With the memory of her past, she needed his comfort again.

There was something about him that calmed her and made her happy, happier than she ever been.

And then if I love you, and if I do
Then maybe, baby, maybe you love me too

The Doctor had noticed Rose's change in attitude, and asked, "Are you alright, Rose?"

She paused, thinking over her next words, his concern making her happy. "Yeah. Just some memories came up. Some not good ones." Her voice got quieter towards the end, and suddenly the Doctor was hugging her tightly to his chest.

Then Rose began to wonder. Maybe he loved her too.

And something inside me was sitting on the shelf

Rose had gone through life as an empty shell. She knew there was potential, but she couldn't reach it. She felt empty and alone.

But then you swam into my heart
And now the good step starts

But then, there was the Doctor. Her saviour. No more boring, mundane human life. But it was more than that. He gave her the life she'd never had. And he stole her heart, too.

Maybe this feeling inside me is true

She'd been fighting it for so long. She couldn't take it anymore, she had to let her feelings be. She couldn't keep this love bottled up, it was time to let it out. If the Doctor found out, she didn't care. She just couldn't take this tension anymore. She wanted him to know. She loved him, and she wasn't hiding it anymore.

And if I love you, and if I do
Oh then maybe, baby, maybe you love me too

She just had to hope that he felt the same. She loved him so much, how could he not feel the same?

How can I know for sure
That you and I are meant for something more

Was this even right? He was a Time Lord, she a human. He'd said it himself, they had rules. But, the Time Lords were dead. Perhaps they were wrong, anyways.

And I, oh, I have to go on this, this feeling inside
And I hope that I am, I hope that I am right

Rose took ahold of herself. Perhaps it is wrong. But I can't stop now, I never can. Not with a love like this. So, she stood up from her bed, and began to make her way to the console room.

"Doctor, I love you. I have since I first saw you. I know it's not normal, but I need you." Rose confessed.

And if I love you, and if I do
Oh then maybe, baby, maybe you love me

"Oh, Rose." Silence filled the room, and as each moment passed, Rose's heart broke a bit more. "Rose, I love you, too. I need you, too. I need us. Forget the rules." And then, they were kissing a passionate kiss, unlike any either had ever had.
