Don't kill me! This one is a super sad one. Don't read it if you don't want a sad one. Just a warning.

I also suggest you listen to the song as you read. It's a good one.

You can't have forests without any trees

Rose and the Doctor watched in horror and fascination as the great forests of Yule burnt to the ground. This was a historic moment for the planet of Yule, one the Doctor and Rose were watching from the TARDIS. They were sitting on the floor, legs dangling out of the open doors.

"It's quite fascinating. Not a single tree in the forests survives this gigantic fire, causing a lot of panic. Luckily those who live on Yule don't require oxygen to live." The Doctor explained to Rose.

"Luckily." She repeated back to him quietly. He said it was going to be beautiful, but it just made her feel haunted.

It was sad, seeing the death of the forests.

You can't have rivers without any water

"This is one of the worst droughts Earth has ever seen. It's one of the main reasons a lot of people left the planet. Those who could afford it, that is. Better take your showers on the TARDIS." The Doctor commented as they walked along a sidewalk in New York.

"Hm." Rose replied.

You can't smile without any teeth

Rose looked at the red alien with a giant head in wonder. It's four eyes found her, and smiled. Well, as much as it could without teeth.

And now you won't have me

A tear slipped down Rose's eyes at the thought of the Doctor, in the hands of the Daleks. She doubted he was still alive.

But then, she heard the sound of the TARDIS, and knew he was alive and well.

And now you won't have me

Rose screamed as she watched the natives ignite the brush around a pole in the middle of the town center. Lashed to that pole and surrounded by sticks, was the Doctor. They were going to burn him like a witch.

She screamed again, tears streaming down her face as she sobbed and fought against the men holding her back.

"Let him go!" She screamed. She and the Doctor made eye contact. Suddenly, she had an idea.

He had given her his sonic before they'd taken him. She stopped fighting the men and reached into her pocket. She threw the sonic to the Doctor, who caught it in his mouth. The sound of the TARDIS materializing around the Doctor made a smile ignite her face. He was safe.

It's always hard to say goodbye

"Do you have to go?" Rose cried.

The Doctor nodded. "The city needs me. And you can't come. You're too sick."

Rose sobbed. "Please don't leave me."

The Doctor looked sadly at the blonde girl who had stolen his heart. He gently kissed her forehead, a tear of his own slipping out of his eye.

"I have to." He whispered. He tried to block out her cries as he left the TARDIS. Before shutting the door, he whispered behind him, "Goodbye."
