Zosia

On Thursday, Se and I decide that we need a girl's night this weekend since we haven't hung out in awhile with all of the drama that has happened. The guys start whining immediately about not having anything to do without us, so we agree to go out to an early dinner with them before starting our girl's night. On Friday evening, the guys take us to this cute little Italian restaurant called Lugio's. I have never heard of this restaurant before. When we walk in, there is a bar off to the left with all of the names of Italian drinks listed on the chalkboard behind it. Off to the right, there is a dessert area, and then straight forward is a very nice little dining room with white table clothes. This is a really nice restaurant. I am so glad that we dressed up for a night out. After we're seated, the waiter comes over and announces the specials and takes our drink orders. While we're deciding what to eat, I ask the guys, "Where did you find this restaurant? I have never seen or heard of this one before." Chris answers, "My dad brought my mom here for their anniversary. They talked about how good it was, so I decided to wait for a special occasion to bring Se here. We were trying to think of a good place to take you two tonight, so I came up with this place." Se reaches over, kisses him and says, "This is very nice, thank you."

The food is delicious and I'm so full when we leave. The guys spend dinner trying to talk us out of our girl's night. We hold strong in our decision to only involve the girls. "What are you all going to do tonight?" I ask them. "We are going to Steve's party tonight. Unless you can save us and let us come with you all tonight?" Dorien looks at me with a pleading expression. "Guys, we need to do this. We would love nothing more than to hang out with you tonight, but we need to catch up. We haven't hung out in awhile. You all will only distract us, and also how would we talk about you if you are there?" I say with a smile. I stumble a little on my crutches and Dorien swoops down and picks me up and gives Chris my crutches. "Goodness, I can walk on my own, you know." I say rolling my eyes. "Yea, but this is so much more fun for me." Dorien smirks. The guys drop us off at my house and leave after one last plea to let them stay with us.

Se and I have a really fun girl's night. It's just what we need. Of course, our guys are a topic of our conversation. Se asks me, "Why don't you just tell Dorien how you feel right now, so you all can be officially girlfriend and boyfriend?" "I just think that if we do it now, it won't last. I feel like that he needs to go out with different girls and I need to go out with different guys before I tell him how I feel. I think that if we both live a little life, then we will be better and lasting when we get together." "I understand, but what does that say about me and Chris?" Se asks.

"You and Chris only started going out last summer and you didn't meet until about two years ago. You went out with a couple of guys before him. They weren't long term, but you have sort of sowed your oats in a way. You all had a life outside of each other before you met and got together. Dorien and I have known each other since we were two and three years old and have never known a life without each other. I know that we are meant for each other, but he won't be sure until he has gone out with a few girls and not just high school girls. When he goes off to college next year, he will be without me and he will be able to go out with different girls without worrying about me being around and trying to make sure that I am okay. He will be able to date freely and maybe have one long term relationship or something." The thought of that turns my stomach, but I really think that it will be the best thing for him. Se looks at me in silent contemplation and nods her head.

"What about you and Chris? Do you think that you two have staying power?" Se gets this dreamy smile on her face, "I think that I am in love with him. He is so sweet and so considerate to me. He doesn't want to go away to college next year, he said that he will go to the local community college until I graduate and then we can go off to school together someplace." "What do you think about that?" I ask. She looks at me. "I would love for him to stay here with me, but I really need him to go off to college without me so we can find out if we are really meant to be together. So I understand your position with Dorien." "So tell him to go off to school and you will join him next year. I knew that Dorien wouldn't go to a school that I wouldn't go to, so we picked out a college together. I'll be joining him after we graduate next year." She stares at me. "Ok, enough of the serious stuff, let's get to movie watching and popcorn eating!" Se says. I just look at her and start laughing. We watch Magic Mike and add commentary while drooling over Channing Tatum and Joe Manganiello.
