Now that Raine is truly out of our lives, I'm ready to graduate and move on. I end up not going to prom because I was going to take Zose and she can't be on her feet for long periods of time. She tried to get me to ask someone else or go by myself, but it's just wouldn't be the same without her. I'll take her to her prom next year. Graduation is awesome and heartbreaking at the same time. This is another year that I will have to spend without Zose when I go off to school. She will be here and I will be five hours away. I will try to get home every weekend to see her. It's going to be really hard to be away from her like this. I know that we will talk every day and I will see her on the weekends, but I just don't think it will be enough for me. Well, enough thinking about that now, we have the whole summer before I leave for school.

The day after graduation, Zose and I go out to dinner. She picks a great restaurant that has all of my favorite foods. When we finish eating, she hands me my gift. I ask, "What is this?" She looks at me and smiles, "Your graduation gift silly. Now open it!" She's bouncing in her seat in excitement waiting for me to open the gift. It's in a square box with dark blue shiny wrapping paper. It has a light blue bow wrapped around it. I unwrap it slowly just because I know that it would drive her crazy. Zose really loves to give out gifts and she loves the look on peoples face when they open their gifts. She always gives excellent gifts.

When I get the wrapping off of the box, it doesn't tell me what's inside, which intrigues me even more. I lift the lid off of the box, and gasp my eyes going wide. Inside is a Breguet Classique Skeleton dial watch. It's eighteen karat white gold and surrounded by diamonds. It has a black leather band. I remember seeing this in a store one time and telling Zosia how I wanted that watch so bad and here it is! I jump out of my seat, grab her and swing her around. "Thank you so much! This is great!" "I'm glad you like it." She tells me. I want to tell her how I really feel about her right now, but I know that after the summer, we're going to be miles apart and that would not be fair to her to have a boyfriend so far away her senior year of high school. She wouldn't enjoy it at all. I have the advantage because she was with me most of my senior year, so that was no problem for me. I will just come home as often as possible to be with her. It's going to be so lonely without her next year.

On the Tuesday after school is out, I have an idea. I turn to Zose and say, "Hey, why don't we go visit my grandmother next week?" She gets this big smile on her face, "That would be awesome! I love Grandma Tessie! When do you want to go?" "In about two weeks. You will be a little better at handling the cast then and it will be right after they have to take out your stitches and put a new cast on you. How is the itching by the way?" "It's better," She grimaced, "but it's not completely gone. That stuff that you gave me worked wonders. I hope that it didn't do anything to hinder my healing." "It won't," I reassure her, "it was just some over the counter stuff that always worked for me in football. My mom got it for you. Are you nervous about not getting the cast off until right before school starts?" "Yep, I'm mad because I have to spend the summer in a cast because of her. I just don't feel like she is worth it. Then I start to wonder about Todd and if he has any plans to try and get back at me for this and that scares me."

"You know that I'm going to be here the whole summer, right?" I ask, "I won't let anyone near you that isn't supposed to be by you. We will get through this together." "I know, but the not knowing is what gets to me." She says as she sighs. "I'll check around and see if Todd has said anything to anyone about you, then we will take it from there." "Ok" She says, "I will try to relax." She gets up from the table and hobbles over to sit on the couch. I join her and she lays her head on my shoulder and closed her eyes. When I feel her breathing even out, I text Chris and tell him to keep an ear out for Todd and anything that he might do to get back at Zose. I don't want to let her know, but I'm a bit worried about Todd also.
