The Right Time (Together-Part 1)(Completed)

Chapter 13

Zosia

I wake up this morning a little groggy. I'm still feeling tired from my full day yesterday. The thought of a day of pampering lures me out of bed and into the bathroom.

Se pulls up just as I open the door to leave. I hop in the car and then we drive down two houses and stop again while Carly comes out and gets into the car. "What's up?" She asks. "Not much, I'm still sleepy from yesterday." I answer. "Will you be okay tomorrow?" She asks.

"Yep." I say. "We're going to breakfast, pampering and shopping. Then we'll be home in time for me to rest for the evening and go to bed early." Se nods her head in agreement. "Sounds about right. Where are we going for breakfast?" She asks.

"It's another school hangout." Se answers. "You'll love it." "I saved some of my calories so I can have some pancakes this morning. I'm excited." Carly says. We talk until we get to the restaurant. When we walk inside the girls are waiting for us, already having been seated. They wave us over and we go and sit down saying hi to everyone.

We order our food and talk about what colors that we are getting on our nails and toes. "How are you doing with Dorien being gone?" Jenna asks. "So far so good." I say. "How many times have you all talked since you got home yesterday?" She asks. "About four times." I answer. "You haven't even away from each other a full twenty-four hours yet and you've talked four times? How are you going to make it through this?"

"We'll be fine. We always are." I say. I'm getting kind of mad that she's talking about this because it's only making it worse. Se interrupts. "Why are we talking about this? There are so many other things that we can talk about." I think she's getting irritated also, because it's making her think about Chris. Carly as always, saves the day. "What classes do you all have this semester?" We all pull out our schedules and compare classes. Carly and I have three classes together and Se and I have all of our classes together except for one. Marne and Jenna have three classes with us and four with Carly. We all have lunch together so that's a big plus.

After breakfast we all get into our separate cars and ride to the spa. While we were in the car, Carly asks, "Why is Jenna so worried about you and Dorien?" I shrug. "She would not let it go until Sequoia said something." She says.

"I don't know what's up with that." Se says. "She was like that in Florida too. I wonder if she's interested in him." I shrug again. "I'll ask Dorien about it when I talk to him tonight. Maybe he can shed some light on the situation." "How long have you all hung out with each other?" Carly asks.

"Se and I have been friends since third grade. Marne became friends with us in junior high school and we started hanging out with Jenna last year." I reply. "What about the guys?" "Dorien and I have been friends since diapers and Chris came a couple of years back. Marne's boyfriend doesn't hang out with us as much, but they've been together for about a year."

"Has Jenna had a boyfriend at all during that time?" She asks. Se and I look at each other. "I recall her talking about going out on a couple of dates, and I've seen her at dances with a date, but we never have seen anyone stick." I say. Se nods. "What are you getting at Carly?"

"I don't know. It just seemed kind of strange to me." She muses.

About that time we pull up to the spa. I hop out of the car quickly, excited about the massage and getting my nails done. We all congregate in the foyer of the spa. "Are you going to let them cut your hair?" Carly asks. "No. My mom would have a fit if I let anyone touch my hair that hasn't been approved by her." I tell her. "I need a trim, but I'm going to wait to see how she does on a couple of the other girls first before I sit in the chair." She says. "Thanks for the idea. I'm going to do the same thing." Se tells us.
