The Right Time (Together-Part 1)(Completed)

Chapter 21

Zosia

The next couple of months go by really fast. Dorien is home with me doing his second semester classes online while I go to school every day. He throws a big surprise birthday party for me and when I ask why, he tells me it's to make up for last year. He made me a Jewelry box and put a charm bracelet inside of it for me.

We decide to go to California for Spring Break. Our moms say they're not going this time. They do however, rent us a beach house and a SUV for the week. Everyone is excited and ready to go. Since we have the extra bedroom, we invite Dean and his new girlfriend to come along with us. We invited Sam first, but he already had plans. He's become a real popular guy in his class. He also made the basketball team, so he has all of us at his games cheering for him.

When we get off of the plane at LAX, we are immediately lost. This airport is huge and we have to follow the people who got off of the plane with us so we can find baggage claim. After we get all of our luggage, we go outside to find a cab, but instead come across a chauffeur that is holding a sign with my name on it. We pile inside of the hummer limo and ride to the beach house that my mom rented for us.

The realtor is there waiting for us when we arrive at the house. She lets us inside the house showing us around and the amenities of the house. We don't hear much because we are all mesmerized by the floor to ceiling glass that gives us a clear view of the beach. When she finishes, she hands me the keys and instructions on how things in the house work. She says goodbye and leaves.

"Man, this is awesome!" Dean says "Thanks for inviting us. This is the best way to spend my final spring break as a high schooler." All of us high school seniors nod our heads in agreement. "This is an awesome way to spend my first spring break as a freshman in college also." Chris says. Dorien and Rob nod their heads too.

"Let's face it, this is the best way to spend spring break period." I say. Everyone nods in agreement at that.

We find our rooms and put our things away, before changing into our suits and heading out to the beach. This is a lot more relaxed than last year, because we have our own strip of beach. The houses next to us have their own beach beside us and so forth, so even though there are a lot of people on the beach, it's not crowded like in Florida. We pull our chairs down and the girls relax under the umbrellas and the guys put up their volleyball net and start playing.

"This is awesome! I just want to stay here forever!" Carly says. "It's a big change from last year." Se says. "How so?" Carly asks. We go on to tell the story about what happened last year when we went to the beach.

"That's Florida for you. The people can be rude and it's usually not the people from there. In my case, it was. They made fun of me and bullied me for my weight. Who knew that all I needed was some friends to support me and all of it would come off in a matter of months." She says.

"How much have you lost?" Sharon, Dean's girlfriend asks.

"I've lost forty pounds total. My doctor says it wouldn't be healthy to lose anymore and I agree. I'm in a size eight now any smaller and I would look like a twig. It's all about maintaining now." She says. I take a look at her. She's wearing an electric blue bikini and it looks really good on her. Her stomach has a four-pack and she looks really toned. With her blond hair and blue eyes, she looks like she lives here, not visiting.

"How are you doing that?" Marne asks. "Right now, Zosia, Se and I are running five miles a day and I lift weights a couple of times a week. I've also upped my calorie intake some. I wouldn't eat a cheeseburger or a slice of pizza before, but I will now eat a half of a cheeseburger or a whole children's cheeseburger. I will eat a couple of slices of pizza, but I always make sure that I start every meal off with a small salad. It helps me get full before I can say, 'the crap with it' and eat everything in sight. I can eat the things that I like, I just have to be smart about it." She says.
