Secrets Lead To Accidents

Hey guys! I'm trying to write updates, but that first chapter was originally just one paragraph. I am basically rewriting this story, mainly keeping the plot line. So, without further ado, here is chapter two! (😂 that rhymed) The picture is Scarlett!

Hmm, thirteen year old me was weird.

"Abigail Douglas, if you have been daydreaming in my class again, I will have to talk with you after class," Miss Romesday snapped.

"I'm sorry, Miss Romesday," Abigail mumbled. "It won't happen again."

"Good. Please speak with me after class," Miss Romesday said, more kindly this time.

"Yes, Miss Romesday.." Abigail trailed off.

While Miss Romesday trailed on and on about how we apply bio-chemistry in real life, there was a note exchange in the middle if the room.

Abigail saw Rose Roux glare at The Winters before handing the note to her.

"Oh, not again..." Abigail mumbled to herself.

"I'm sorry. If I don't give it to you, they'll come after me..." Rose whispered, handing her the note. Rose gave her a soft smile, which Abigail returned.

"It's okay. I get it. I've learned to live with it." Abigail whispered back.

"Here. Like I said, I'm sorry." Rose said.

Abigail opened the note, the graceful, curling letters clearly written by Scarlett Frigidelph. She sighed, then read the note.

Dreaming about your ex-friends? The dead ones, who were using you I might add.

Abigail sighed. Why won't Scarlett just stop? She flipped over the paper.

Please... Just leave me be, Scarlett.

She tapped Rose on the shoulder.

"It's not a good idea. You know how she can get. It's best to just take it." Rose advised.

"I guess you're right. Thanks for everything, Rose." Abigail said, tearing the note to shreds.

"It's been two years, Abigail. You need to get over it. They are both gone, and it's affecting your sleep, meals, and studies. I don't mean to be harsh, but if you keep this up, you will probably be expelled from EGAES. This is for your own good. You need to forget." Miss Romesday said as kindly as possible.

"I understand, Miss Romesday. It's just... hard. I just need time. I'll find new friends, I'll be okay. Don't worry. I won't fall behind. I love EGAES. It's my home. I'll work hard. You needn't worry. Thank you, Miss Romesday. That really helped." Abigail said, and then she walked away, heading up to her room to get ready for tonight.
