Your body strong as steel.
Your heart soft as feathers.
Your love deep like the ocean, consumes me into your world.
My aching heart longs for you, to touch, to hold, to love.
How blind was I to push you away? When all I needed was not what I wanted?
I could have let my fingers linger upon your smooth skin.
I could have let myself hold you at night.
I could have loved you like the Sun to the Moon,
but selfishness blinded me as hard as a fool.
That was all then and all that is now. Its why I did what I did to open my heart.
Your screams and shouts bring me sorrow and pain.
Your cries and sobs bring ache and red.
Your blue skin and swelling burn, made me smile with glee pleasure. Your bulging eyes with no life to find, made me flutter with joy like never before.
Now, I find myself at the tip of denial. For how could I let such a cowardice act,
cause you your life which I ever so wanted to end.
Selfishness brought myself to your door and I couldn't stop even if I tried. For there is no greater power than selfishness,
in the bitterest of hearts.
