Gone

The hurt is temporary,
The scar; permanent.

The gash is recovering,
The memory; haunting.

The tear is closing.
The wound; painful.

The sound is silent.
The screams; everlasting.

The lie is believing.
The truth; dying.

The burn is healing.
The dark; forever.

The life is leaving.
The body; gone.
