You shimmer and shake, not from the cold or the rhythmic music but because you fear.
Your spine starts to shiver, not from the butterflies or the man you are with but because you fear.
Your sweat dribbles down your face, not from the heat or the spicy love but because you fear.
Your heart starts to stammer, not from your condition or your love and grace but because you fear.
You tear at your fear and your fear tears you.
You fear your fear, for your fear is you.
