Green Eyes at the side------->
***,,,,****,,,,
Sigh.
Ethan is not the only problem in my life. Aside from him, there are many things I have to deal with.
Many.
You don't even know.
...
"Chris, sweetheart, can you hand my that strawberry-scent shampoo from that shelf over there?"
My shoulders slumped. Do I have to do everything? I hastily threw the shampoo into the cart and escaped to the school supplies aisle.
I know it's weird, but I really like buying new school supplies. Like pencils, erasers, notebooks.
Don't ask.
I spotted a cool-looking lime green mechanical pencil at the top right and stood on my tiptoes to reach them.
A girl raised her eyebrows as I strained to grab it.
I may be freakishly tall, but that doesn't mean I can reach everything. Geez, people these days.
I saw the laughter in her eyes when the the pencil flew out of my grasp onto the floor. I shot her a nasty look and picked it up, a scowl on my face. For some odd reason, she looked strangely familiar. Where have a seen her?
I racked my mind, thinking about all the people I know from school.
Suddenly, some one else appeared.
"Hey Christina!" Green Eyes squealed loudly and I immediately recognized her as that girl's sister.
I cringed.
"Chris, just call me Chris. Christina takes too long to say. Chris-ti-na. See? Too long." I babbled like an idiot.
"Okay!" She said much too enthusiastically for my taste and introduced her younger sister to me.
I smiled and shook her sister's hand. "Allie. Nice name."
She giggled. "It's actually Allison but you can call me Allie if you want."
I felt stupid to have not have recognized her as Amber's sister earlier. The same light brown hair reaching just past the shoulders, the same stunning green eyes, the same laughter. I should have known.
Amber starting talking comically at once and I repeatedly nodded and smiled, zoning out.
I suddenly became particularly interested into a blue notebook laying abandoned on the ground.
"Christi- I mean Chris- are you listening?"
I snapped my head toward her and grinned sheepishly.
"Sorry, go on." I waved my hand for her to continue.
But she didn't.
Her face showing obvious dissaproval, she started to lecture me.
"Chris! Come on! You need to learn your manners! Really, even at school, you're acting so rude to everyone!" She said exasperated, a frown visible on her face.
I frowned back.
"You have no right to say that to me!"
She set down her jaw.
"Why are you always so grumpy and irritable? It's not very pleasant, you know."
"Shut up."
Her eyes shone with tears.
