Ch. 18

I woke up the next morning and I oddly feel refreshed. Like, a weight has been lifted off of me. Zak and I talked all night last night about how we felt and how we were going to work things out. I know that we are going to have to stay positive and stay strong throughout this pregnancy.

I looked over at Zak to see him still sleeping. Poor baby. He has classes today and has to work late. If I could take either one I would do it for him.

Last night before I went to bed I had an idea. I woke up extra early to do this. I'm first going to write him a letter, something similar to what he read to me yesterday on that website, and slide it into one of his books that I'm sure he might use today. Then, I'm going to make him and myself a nice, big breakfast. And then I'm going to the mall to buy him something nice. And, lastly, I'm going to make his favorite meal for dinner when he gets home.

I thought this idea would be really cute to do and to show him how much I love and care for him. I got up and did my morning routine before getting started. I finished the lengthy letter in about fifteen minutes, then placed it in his bag. Then I got started on breakfast. By the time I finished, Zak was walking into the kitchen, rubbing his eyes tiredly.

"Good morning, baby!" I said in glee, walking over to him and giving him a kiss.

"Good morning to you, too." He said back in his raspy morning voice. He looked over my shoulder to see the table full of food. He looked back at me and wrapped his arms around me, beaming a smile. "You made breakfast?"

I smiled back, wrapping my arms around his neck. "By the looks of it, yes. I felt like you needed a nice breakfast meal to start your day, including Charlie and I."

"I'm surprised you remembered you were carrying a child." He chuckled, and I playfully rolled my eyes at him. "I'm normally the one who has to remind you to eat."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Are you going to eat or what?" I walked to the table and sat down and began to eat.

As he was picking up his fork, he says, "Did I ever told you how big your a*s has gotten?"

I tried not to blush and hid it with a light laugh. "No you did not. I did notice it myself, however."

He kept grinning at me, which wasn't helping me hiding my blush from him. Once my face flushed he let out a laugh. "There it is." He picked back up his fork. "You're adorable when you blush."

"No I don't." I sipped on my orange juice as Zak playfully rolled his eyes. "Yes you do. The way your cheeks flush and the way you bite your bottom lip every time I tell you something inappropriate, or the way you cover your face to hide it every time I tell you how cute you are, or when your eyes soften as I tell you how much I love you. Maybe the last part isn't apart of blushing, but you're just adorable when I make you blush."

I couldn't help but giggle at that. And my blushing was ten times worse. "You do have your ways to make me blush. But I do as well to you. It's cute when you purse your lips together and your cheeks turn red when I tell you how sexy you are. And the way you smile every time I tell you I love you just makes my heart melt."

He laughs and says, "I'm glad it's you making me blush like that."

"Same to you." I smiled, and picking up my orange juice again. "What time do you get off again?"

"Ten o'clock. I don't want you to wait up for me."

I faked frowned, knowing that I wasn't going to wait up for him. "Why? I wanted to."

He picked up another piece of turkey bacon. "You and Charlie need your sleep and you have to work tomorrow. I shouldn't of explained that to you."

I sighed, getting up to put my plate in the sink. "Fine, whatever. I'm going shopping today. Do you need anything while I'm out?"

"No." He sighed as well, handing his plate to me. "You go on and enjoy yourself. I'm going to go get dressed."

I looked at his half empty plate and rolled my eyes. "And I'm going to wash out your half eaten plate! Why are you wasting food?!"

"I got full!" He defended, scanning me up and down as if something was wrong with me. "Why did you get so cranky all of a sudden?"

I cursed underneath my breath as I threw away the rest of his food. I hate it when he wastes food. And I would want to finish it for him sometimes but I'd get full as well. "Then we need to get a puppy or something to come scrape up the rest of your scraps."

"No we don't, y/n." He sighed, leaning against the counter top. "Why are you making a big deal about this?"

"I don't know. I guess it's mood swings." I walked over to him and gave him a kiss. "Go on and get dressed before you're late."

I began to clean up the kitchen once he left, then start on cleaning the rest of the apartment. A few minutes later Zak came out fully dressed, with his hair sculpted to his liking, his nice smelling cologne radiating off his body, and his black framed glasses sitting perfectly on his nose. He was focused on putting on his watch when he asked, "Do I look alright? It feels like I'm missing something."

Smiling, I walked over to him and pressed a finger to my lip, thinking what's missing from him. "Don't you wear a necklace as well?"

He snapped his fingers, remembering that's what he forgot. "That's what it was!" He walked briskly to the room and came back with it on. "Thanks, babe." He kisses me on the lips. "I'll see you," He gets down on one knee and kisses my stomach. "And you later."

He stands back up and I kiss him once more. "Alright. I love you."

"I love you, too." He grabs his bag off the floor and keys then leaves. I finish cleaning up before leaving to go shopping. I've been thinking for awhile whether or not to shop early for Charlie's clothes. It's going to be so fun clothes shopping for her. And the really fun part is getting her dressed and doing her hair.

I imagine Zak later down the line doing her hair and dressing her up for school in the morning, and me just recording them the hold time as he struggles to make a ponytail. Stuff like that I can't wait for to happen. I smiled at the thought of it as I turned on the radio, singing and dancing to one of Rihanna's new songs.

I stopped immediately as I hear the sound of a truck honking, and it sounded really close to my window. Before I could turn to the window, the truck collided with my car on my side, and I soon blacked out.

Shocker! Should I make the next chapter in no one's pov and see what happens when Zak's finds out or continue on in your pov and wake up from it? Vomment, please! :)
